Don't have a radiator issue yet, but ours burns oil pretty good. 115K on it right meow.Daughter's Outback has over 225 K miles on it. But it leaks oil and radiator fluid like a sumbitch. I added both when I was visiting.

cut to week two of unempolymentI'm planning on a sober near years eve. Thr first as far back as I can remember. See how long I can stay dry.
Not a big destination area? Maybe you need to reconsider that whiffle ball game.So far housing is still affordable in my area. Just waiting for that to change, but hopefully it doesn't. This is also an area that purposely tries to lag behind with the times. It isn't a big destination area either, so that is also another factor.
Yeah. I haven't had to put much money in either car, actually. Just had to put a new battery in the Mazda this weekend. Leaning towards the Outback for now, but there are a couple minor quibbles I have. The engine on the Outback burns about a quart or so of oil between changes. Also, the Bluetooth system in the Outback blows. The Mazda one is really nice.
One other thing I will be considering is that the Mazda might have less than half the mileage on it that the Outback has when we decide to get a new ride. Hopefully, the decision is more than a few years away.
I had a condo and I took an absolute fucking bath on it. Big time. As if buying a condo wasn't bad enough, when we moved, we built a house and I figured I'd get the condo sold during the four months they were building the house. Didn't work out like that. Took like 16 months to sell it, so I carried two mortgages for a full year. Ended up selling it for less than I bought it for just to get out from under it. After the down payment to build, and then the extra mortgage, it tapped out all my cash and I had to take out a loan to sell the condo.Yeah people keep telling me to buy a condo.. I'm like, "no, they won't be sold for nearly what you paid for it and not many people want them." I get that "notion" that it is better to start off with a condo when it's your first time buying something but in the long run it truly isn't worth it.
Later all.
Have a great day.
If i were to get a mainstream Crossover would be CX5 or an Outback (i know, outback is techincialy a wagon)

Big, painful lessons were learned from that catastrophe. Don't buy a condo unless you plan to stay there for a LONG time, and never buy a house until after you sell the one you've got.
If I were to get a bigger SUV it would probably be a KIA TellurideWife has been eye-humping one of those since they came out. She wanted the Outback the last time we bought a car, now she wants more seating.
@Flavortown Tebow is super jelly of your popularity, Bob.I received the more Christmas cards than anyone ever (81) in my neighborhood this year but somehow finished a distant 3rd for most admired bro. Frustrating.
just because they marketed to lesbians in the 90's. Besides, forrester is the lesbian carI didn't know you are a lesbian! Does @ill know? You two might make a cute couple!
On a somewhat related note, Mrs Redfoot's monthly cycle started this morning, so I can notch another successful month. She also said she wanted it as her mom car...
I'm just busting balls.just because they marketed to lesbians in the 90's. Besides, forrester is the lesbian car
I think Outbacks are nicer than Ford Escapes, Equinox, etc. I wouldn't drive any of the three though

all brands have lemons, sucks if you end up with one.I'm just busting balls.
Outbacks are pretty nice. A buddy of mine had a nice one back in the day. However, my mom got a new one a few years ago and she's had some significant issues with the engine that they can't seem to fix.
It was nice not having it this year. Less BS to deal with. Not a big destination area? Maybe you need to reconsider that whiffle ball game.
