Texpectations: Longhorn Superthread

This one very much did.

But ya’s have a damn good team. I’m happy for Shaka. Always liked him.
That wasn't a foul on Sims.. luckily the CBB gawds saw this and had a fitting end to the FT misses

Spare me with the amount of shit they called on us the last 4 minutes.

You got lucky, you weren’t the better team.

lol so I get those last second 3 point heaves that went in are a normal thing? Texas didn't play a complete game but when they needed to grind it out they did.

How many times did Texas get the benefit of getting a (BS) foul while shooting a 3? 4 times?? spare me the shit about complaining about foul calls. You were getting them all game.

You weren’t the better team, you got lucky.

not as many as WV.. Sims got a lot of bad calls. So it was poetic justice when the 89% FT shooter missed his shots on a non foul. Don't worry, Y'all will be coming to Austin for rd 2 soon enough.

Spare me that first line. You guys got a ton of calls. It happens. I’m not the one blaming the refs. As I said y’all have a really good team and I’m happy for Shaka because he is a damn good coach. But you weren’t the better team Saturday. And we are going to lose by 30 plus in Austin.

Not too excited.. Game wasn't as good as the FL game

I'm glad Texas got away from the Urban tree.. seeing Day's playcall on 4th and 1, taking the ball out of his best players hands was deja vu all over again.

Eh, I thought Sark did a really good job with his scheme. Everyone knew who Bama was trying to get the ball to, but the way he utilized motion, formations, and playcalls made the job look easy...well that and Bama has the luxury of incredible athletes too.

i don't know what to take from it tbh. tosu had the dumbest plan defensively I have seen in quite awhile. Lets let Tuff cover smith one on one? Hey let's run out our 4 LB lineup and keep playing man on Smith. Oh and lets not bring pressure.. Have no idea what they were thinking, but when Sark hits the conf schedule at Texas.. the defenses won't be doing that.

I have no explanation. Only thing I can think of is that for whatever reason tOSU was really thin in the secondary, so that's why they had to go with the personnel packages they chose to go with. Seemed pretty clear their strategy was going to be eliminate big plays early on, but w/o any pressure on the QB, Bama managed 10 and 12 play drives easily...only really slowing down at all once they got to the redzone.

Our secondary has been bad all year, so I kinda understand the unwillingness to bring pressure and leave the secondary exposed...but it didn't matter either way. Leaving Wade on Smith was not terribly bright either, considering Wade got roasted time and again vs Clemson.

Sark’s lady friend.

Doesn't every new coach at every program say similar stuff?

Do we have Charlie Strong or Tom Herman's incoming speeches to the tejas faithfull?
Herman is a pretender from day one. And I called him out as such. Go watch his press conferences.
