Bama fatique killing college football???

I absolutely love regular season CF, nothing compares to a day of crisp air and Saturday football.
I even enjoy bowl games but the playoffs have been awful. Something needs to change in CF.

I'm Old School. To heck with all the people complaining about a team or a few teams doing most of the winning. It's America; we're supposed to like winners. Alabama has earned everything it's won. Hell yeah I want to beat Bama's ass in the playoff but I want to do it because Oklahoma got better, not because Alabama was weakened for some reason. I'm sick of watching OU losing in the playoffs but damned if I want to blame anyone else for it but ourselves. We need to get better and that goes for a lot of other schools too. Whining that Alabama is blessed with the best coach in college football or they recruit too many star players is how losers think. Alabama can be knocked of their perch if one of us can keep our best players from pussing out and leaving just because they aren't playing as much as they think they should be. Keep'em and there's your depth. Put together better staffs. Recruit smarter. Innovate new schemes on O and D. Create an identity. Build something that can kick ass and take names. At least 20 schools around the country could do that. Let's all work toward that goal and stop with the "tear down the other guy so I can get ahead" BS.

I think it had more to do with everyone knowing that it was going to be a blowout. Ohio State was gifted a pass into the playoffs, but it was clear they weren’t one of the four best teams. They caught a bit of luck against Clemson, but luck that good doesn’t usually happen twice.

Im more tired of the coat tail riders (rest of the SEC) stop acting like you did something because of a group affiliation. that would be like claiming you did something because your neighbor won an award.

First of all, I'm not so sure it is "Bama Fatigue" as much as it is the "Same old, same old" fatigue.

Not sure what can be done about it but if ratings fall (or flat), it is logical to assume the networks will offer less in the next round of negotiations. Attendance was falling prior to COVID so that is another issue. Decreasing revenue will get their attention fo sho. There are only a handful of schools that don't really have to worry about money.

I do think we will continue to see the "same old, same old" until more schools compete better in the recruiting arena. More widely dispersed talent instead of having most of it concentrated in a few schools could help competitive balance. Not sure if that would translate to more viewer interest or not. People seem to like dynasties.
It's Bama fatigue. Everyone likes Clemson and the other teams have swapped out often enough.

Dude Ohio State throttled Clemson so if they didn't deserve to be there I'm not sure who did. You have an argument for Notre Dame but who is going to take their place Oklahoma that lost 2 or aTm who got throttled earlier in the year by Bama? One this for sure that tOSU was one of the top 4 teams.

This is why the argument to expand the playoffs is insane when there aren't 4 teams worthy to fill the existing slots.

That's just your insecurities creeping up on you, besides you don't like college football anyway. In your world, we should be crowning UConn national champions for not playing.

false but since you dont actually know anything about me it makes sense you make stuff up

1. Your conference barely even played football this year.
2. Half the games are over by the time you get out of bed on the West Coast.
3. Watching more CFB than me is not healthy.

Evidence does not support your hypothesis.

Agreed.

Clemson >>>>>>>>> Ohio State

This season is a little bit of an outlier. Attendance restrictions, vacated games, players being out, etc etc. There just wasn't the same enthusiasm for college football as there has been in years past.

That said, when the final 4 consists of the same teams every year, national interest diminishes. Not just Bama, but people are tired of seeing Clemson, Ohio State, and probably to some extent OU & Georgia every year.

I watch games from every conference not just the Pac. on average i watch at least 1 game played by every team from every conference. have been to games from off coast (Hawaii) to coast (Army)
i wake up at 6 for work so i wake up at 6 and watch game day without missing a beat.
i have 3 tvs set up to watch games that overlap and when necessary my computer as well. watch until the last whistle of the latest game probably long after you have already passed out

again you know nothing about me so your assumptions are trash.

Not often enough for me. I'd like to see a year where teams like Stanford, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Iowa State are undefeated conference champions... and the SEC has a two loss champ. Now that'd be some variety...and fun to watch the committee!

Hell, in seven years the variance in conference representation in the CFP has been pathetic IMO.

AAC - 14% (FSU, Clemson Sorry, ND don't count since they only dip their toe in the ACC pool when it suits them)
B1G - 14% (Ohio State, Michigan State)
Big 12 - 10% (Oklahoma)
Pac 12 - 17% (Oregon, Washington)
SEC - 21% (Alabama, Georgia, LSU)
