3. Tom Brady
4. Aaron Rodgers

What makes Marino #1 for you?
Was just wondering. Appreciate the info. His arm strength was good. He really deserved a championship. He's the perfect QB, his release best of all time, accuracy, arm strength, reading defenses. only thing he didn't have was legs or a running back.
Packers fan here. He's very good- how do you figure he's Top 5, let alone #4?TOP 5 Quarterbacks All Time

Most accomplished doesn’t really leave anything up to opinion. These lists should always be separated into 2 categories
Most talented and most accomplished
Best is too vague and you end up with a weird list that combines the 2 and is usually only based on who we liked when we were kids lol
Well depends on what you value most as accomplishments. Is an MVP more important than a SB? Are yards or TDs more important? How much do yiu value wins compared to win %? Etc etcMost accomplished doesn’t really leave anything up to opinion.
Guess that’s true.Well depends on what you value most as accomplishments. Is an MVP more important than a SB? Are yards or TDs more important? How much do yiu value wins compared to win %? Etc etc
Most people would agree. I tend to value individual awards more than most . Football is the ultimate team sport so while wins are important I dont know how much you can directly contribute to one guy.Guess that’s true.
accomplishments, to me, would be winning. Games, divisions, titles.
Tom Brady is the best at taking his shirt off and making out with underage boys. I'll give you that. The main category when determining “best” is, and always has been, career accomplishments. Ever since Brady left everyone in the dust on that category the haters have distanced themselves from this being most important
ok... The second category when determining the best quarterback is leadership. QB is unlike any other position on the football field. The other players MUST see the QB as a leader and have confidence in him. Why? Because if the other players don’t have confidence in the QB they will not excel at their jobs. The famous story of Joe Montana walking in the huddle late in the game and casually saying “hey... is that John candy in the stands” is exactly what I’m talking about. He set the tone and then led the team on a game winning drive to win the SB. As great a story as that is nobody on the pats ever thought they were out of a game when Brady was on the field. Not when they were down by 10 in the 4th quarter in the Seahawks SB. Not when they were down 28-3 in the Falcons SB. Not even after the chiefs blew them off the field on national television and everyone was saying the pats dynasty was over then.
Best QB isn’t the biggest arm, best thrower, etc. If it were the category would be Best Arm on a QB. Being able to throw it a mile doesn’t even get you in the conversation about “who is the best QB without 1) titles/mvps and 2) leadership.
Therefore, the Best QB is CLEARLY Tom Brady. The second best QB is Joe Montana. You can have all the fun you want talking/debating the next 3 on your list
I'm in complete agreement with you here. The best QB of all time is the best signal caller, the most alert guy, the leader of the team, keeps stability in the huddle, and has to be a supremely talented athlete. The achievements are a byproduct, though come naturally with the greats. That said, my Top-5 are:The main category when determining “best” is, and always has been, career accomplishments. I think the HOF gives a great of weight to Super Bowl Champions across the board tbh. Most people would agree. I tend to value individual awards more than most . Football is the ultimate team sport so while wins are important I dont know how much you can directly contribute to one guy.
It's always struck me as odd we fans correlate SB wins so much to a QBs career success but we dont do it with other positions .
