Which means he isn’t for the cause then. It makes him the definition of a hypocrite that he is getting paid to focus on training for the NFL while he is telling his teammates who are ineligible for the draft to hold out.

This is why these player unions fizzle out, players are in and out so fast. He made the right decision, the players have no leverage right now when the season has already been postponed (canceled). Get ready for the NFL and still communicate with the players throughout the season/off season.

Mind you, I'm not for player unions, but I do think they should have a voice in the room at the university level.
 
There's a USC beat writer going apeshit on Facebook right now. He's written three articles in three days bashing Larry Scott and this conference in general. Too bad he wasn't a UW beat writer. We could use his take atm.

I am not begrudging Tryon, he is just following leftists athletes who pretend they stand for something. If he did he wouldn’t stayed through his eligibility to force change.

With how piss poor of a job Scott has done, I think having a meeting with Trump would finally get rid of him. But, it is past the point of no return, we are skipping the 2020 season and is fans can start prepping for fall of 2021. Unless the Pac 12 drops Winter and Spring sports there isn’t a feasible way public schools can make money playing football in the Spring. We don’t have the lucrative tv contracts the other conferences do and don’t have the staffing or equipment for that many sports let alone transportation.

Its tough to get the PAC Presidents to replace Scott when you have 300lb Trump hating dykes at UW & Cal calling the shots.
 
Trump doesn't care about CFB, he's just trying to win votes. He doesn't care about the west coast, other wise he would have included the PAC, Sun Belt, WAC or whoever else ISN'T playing this fall. Instead he's appealing to pissed off CFB fans in the midwest hoping they flip for him.

Scott deserves a lot of blame for how the PAC network has gone with the distribution trouble, and offices being in a high rent area.

However he is just like Warren when it comes to Covid, they are powerless. It's the Presidents who make this call. If Trump was really serious maybe he could have gotten in on a zoom call with multiple school presidents from every conference that isn't playing... but he's not so he makes a call to a commissioner who is just a messenger. What a way to use your juice.

The decision has been made to close this thread until the PAC nuts up and actually plays football.

Feel free to visit one of the other conferences' threads in the meantime but I would not fall in love with the B1G as they are currently on probation and subject to closure as well.
