Stafford to Rams

I'm sure the majority of NFL teams would love to have that "brittle bitch" under center.
Does GB plan to keep Rodgers for more then next season?

The Packers GM mentioned redoing Rodger's contract to guarantee he stays in Green Bay for another three seasons at a press conference this morning.

I would effin hope so.
Shit talking aside, if they don’t plan on keeping him or if he decides to retire, Love ain’t gonna be the guy. I can’t believe he was a first round pick after he significantly regressed from his sophomore year to his junior year in college

I wonder if that means having more incentive based bonus’ and less base salary?

Steep yes, but in today's market for a QB with his skills?? Not so much.
A fair point but still that’s a hefty chunk for a QB nearing his age even with that skill set.

I'm sure they want to free up money to sign a few of their priority free agents.

Smart move. And I’m not saying Rodgers isn’t worth that base even at that age but id think they’d want another playmaker on the receiving core to help Rodgers.

I don't know if Love will be or won't be a starting QB in the NFL, but he will have plenty of opportunity to develop. He was drafted as a high-ceiling project. Being drafted as an apprentice to Rodgers was about as perfect of a spot for him to land as he could've hoped for. He has time to work on his game and learn from one of the best before he gets thrown into the fire. It's more likely he will have NFL success with a couple years of apprenticeship than had he been drafted to a team that wanted him to play right away.

The Packers shot themselves in the foot in last year's draft by not drafting a quality WR.

So if the Rams when the Super Bowl next year was it worth it?

That is the only way this deal pays off right?

Well they went to the SB with Goff. For me, they are one of the teams in the "win a SB or bust" category as of right now.

dr. steve brule yes GIF

If the Falcons take a QB, it’ll probably be the BYU kid.

But knowing them, they’ll probably do something stupid like draft a WR in the first and take Kyle Trask in the second(Trask will be trash in the NFL IMO)
Since you follow the Falcons.
If the Falcons pick a QB in the 1st. Do you think they are willing to trade Ryan?
Also looking at Ryans contract. he has a lot of restructures in there. Would trading ryan give them any cap relief or hurt them?
Reason I ask. Someone mentioned Ryan to the Colts. I think that would be an awesome marriage personally. But I am not sure Ryan can be moved.

Colts are in a win now mode as well, only without a QB.
