No, he is not.
LMAO.I am a student of NFL history and I thought this would be an interesting thread. just because Jim Brown played before I was born does not diminish his greatness. If you think that's creepy then I feel sorry for you.
He was also as big or bigger than more than half the linebackers he played against.
He was a great RB and in my top 5, but not the goat by any stretch.
I have often wondered how amazing Sanders would have been behind that Dallas O-line. A lot of people say that Detroit's O-line sucked, but that isn't true. Detroit, during Sanders' 10 year career, had a very decent O-line except for a couple years.
Dallas had what might have been the greatest O-line in history during Smith's time there. That and also having a HoF QB and a HoF WR and a very good TE and other receivers ...
I honestly think that if Sanders would have played for the Plowboys, he would have ran for well over 2,000 yards every season. This also takes into account that Dallas was much more of a run first team than Detroit.
The Best 5 RBs my eyes have ever seen in my football viewing life:
1 - Barry Sanders
2 - Adrian Peterson
3 - LaDainian Tomlinson
4 - Marshall Faulk
5 - Emmitt Smith
HM - Thurman Thomas, Curtis Martin
Sensitive today little fella?I'm guessing the reason @Peter Gozintite told me to fuck off for this post is because I didn't include Walter Payton.
I only saw the man play at the very end of his career. Also the reason I didn't include Eric Dickerson or Earl Campbell. Their glory years were behind them by the time I got to see them play.
Sensitive today little fella?
Oh, there has been a shortage on dried goods. Sorry, things kind of went south on those.
Dickerson should be but he sabotaged himself by being a douche and being nearly unanimously disliked by teammates. It isn’t fair but that is why he isn’t ever in the conversation even though anyone who thinks Emmitt Smith was better than Dick is an utter idiot.I would place Jim Brown #1.
What amazes me is no one has Eric Dickerson in their top 5.
As far as pure runners, outside of Brown he might be the best pure "runner"
Yes, Dickerson deserves to be in the discussion.I would place Jim Brown #1.

^^^ Most Overrated NFL RB of All-Time ^^^
Funny, both had at all time lines and once Emmitt left he got like was 15 yards in Arizona. While Shaun Alexander was better in his prime with a HOF line and once one member left he turned to shit then was cut. Shaun Alexander = Emmitt Smith.
