Wentz trade thread

Hot rumor is to Chicago for Nick Foles, a 1st and 3rd.

Well, he is just 28 and it's possible he could rebound.

Nagy is in desperation mode though. Think his seat is really hot going into next season.

Yeah since they gave up the farm to move and take Mitchy, and not Watkins or Mahomie

Yes, and they are possibly getting a 1st and a 3rd as a result. That’s how negotiation works.

The real LOL is the part I read that Chicago is interested to send Foles too because they know they would need to get him out of there if Wentz is coming.

I know....there are many damn good reasons for the Bears to get Foles out. But, just the aspect that they would need to remove a player to not hurt the coveted players feel feels is always interesting.

And Philly should be welcoming a veteran QB that had his best success in Philly when all you will have (after this proposed trade) is Hurts and Sudfeld.....LOL.

Should be? I think they are welcoming such a thing. So I’m not sure what your laughing at.

What I’m calling out is from the Bears angle of “we need to clear a player to not upset the player we covet”. That kind of shit would give me pause.

Ohh very true. That desperation mode could yield that. It’s just funny to think a QB that has a history of injuries and holding the ball too long would get that kind of value. But it is in the eye of the beholder.

Personally, I wouldn't give up a 1st....most I would (if my team needed a QB) offer is a 2nd and a 3rd.

Taking on a lot of money for a QB that needs to be fixed. It's not like he's Stafford, not even close.

Hindsight’s always 2020. But this isn’t drafting a college QB where you don’t know how he’ll take to the NFL game. Most of the time You know exactly what you are getting when trading for an already experienced NFL player.

A first and a third plus a QB you are paying a 8 mill a year to get Wentz? Nah

If they are asking for a first for Wentz I’m likely just drafting a QB with that first.

Last night I read somewheres that Wentz will be traded in the very near future,and I thought to myself,Chicago here he comes...........

Not sure what to think about CW,because he was off to a great start the SB winning season,and then has kinda fizzled out.........

Qbs these days are in high demand,to get a good caliber qbis gonna cost...........So Im not sure if CW is worth that..............Im on the fence,,,,,,,,,,,

i guess we will find out this coming season...........

Ive been on the Mac jones bandwagon as of lately cause I really dont think the other top qbs will be sitting there at no.20 when its the Bears turn..........

Trask is a possibility..........not sold on that one yet.

Wentz was solid when he had a strong cast of coaches around him that held him to his development. Plus for Chicago is one of those coaches (DeFillipo) is there. After DeFillipo and Reich left they went through a litany of inexperienced “yes men” who just coddled for the franchise QB (likely because the powers that be said YOU coddle this young man).

And that was an organizational failure. I think if Wentz is given a strong set of coaches that will hold his stubborn ass to development than he could at least approach that 2017 high again.

Not sure Nagy is the right guy for Wentz......A supposedly qb whisperer qhich ended up total failure in my book....

And I did just see on ESPN @DJ Schefter reporting Bears have contacted Philly about Wentz.....

Gonna be interesting next couple of days....

If I’m being fair to Nagy I’m not sure his Bears tenure has been an indictment of his QB whispering and more an indictment of the personnel decisions Pace has made.

In that light this possible trade becomes the all or nothing last shot for them both. Wentz turns it and they see salvation. Wentz stays in his stubborn nonsense that’s got to be the final nail.

That’s very true about the bears pick at 20. Im sure Nagy who needs to win now would prefer Wentz over who is there at 20. But that supposed ask of a 1st and a 3rd Philly is asking for him seems high.

Heh.......The Bears will be spending a top pick on qb anyways,so basicly it would be a 3rd we give up.....Id be fine with that.....

Carson has more upside I believe than MT.....Thats worth a 3rd imo......
