ill's farewell for now Friday morning thread

Any pink Floyd any Beatles. Lots of electric light orchestra. Some queen. OK so anyone but the stones
You are struggling. When you say "any" that is not going to to cut it.

I will grant you, Floyd or the Beatles certainly have some songs that would fit that definition. However, saying any? Makes me want to bend you over and get medieval

As it relates to a song, I guess I like something massive, with sweeping changes, and it also helps in this context if it's touched a lot of people.

I think of Hey Jude, and Stairway To Heaven.

Generational differences perhaps. I can guarantee you that Gimme Shelter was an anthem to my generation. It was the culmination of the angry rock stage of the Stones. Much more so than You Can't Always Get What You Want. IMO

Music touches people in different ways.

Go find your own argument.

Can we make a trade/"sacrifice"? Ill stays on nights, and gingie stays away forever?

I have no real dog in the classic rock battle but Stones gotta be top 5 for anyone. I went through a Beatles phase when I was younger but between the two definitely the Stones.

I'm pretty much locked in. I'm not hearing much from the mainstream catching my ear anymore. Although I can listen to just about anything except 99 percent of new rap and any old country.

I like the Beatles better, and I think they are a better "band," but I don't consider them Rock 'n' Roll the way I do the Rolling Stones.

When I drive my car I'm usually on Sirius. The wife's usually has a rock station that plays the same 50 songs from 90 to 2010 it feels like

No matter the genre, good music is good music. Got a partial earworm going yesterday and cannot finish the lyrics not really get the melody down. I just remember it as kinda of emo punk.
