I'm burying my dad today.

Sorry to see it. Prayers to you and your family

(OT: Can we get another emoji for situations like this? Like a heart or prayer hands? Giving someone a thumbs up or cheeseburger doesn't seem appropriate)

Really sorry to see this TB

But glad you guys had a year of winnin that natty. Wouldn’t mind hearin your dads favorite gloats from that ride.

In my thoughts good sir.

Hope you got a lot of hugs in from folks you haven’t seen in way too long. Silverlinings en sech.

If your parents are still alive, take a moment to call and tell them you love 'em.

So sorry for your loss

Sorry for your loss brother. I just lost my pops 3 weeks ago myself. Toughest thing in the world to see Superman wither away to nothing.

Sorry for your loss man. I was lucky enough to have both my parents live to be 90+ years old, but still miss them.

I put it back up, this time as a +5.

Everybody go back and give TB some love on the OP. 🍻

Doing better than I thought I would. Worried about mom. They were married 52 years and spent most of her time the last 2 years taking care of him. Big void to fill.

Yes, it is. Honestly, it's about 2-3 months when the reality hits the worst. Until then, you are busy with estate matters. So keep a close eye out about that time.

Not to detract but I have Pops and the Out Laws, all 91 this year.

Pops in long term care but double dosed with Moderna!! The outlaws live at home and anything is imminent on all fronts.
Phone calls incoming on our land line are WTF moments.

My Mom dying took us all by surprise. We all thought she was destined to live forever and give away her $$ to the church in her doddery.

I wish she had a chance to do so.

Hug 'em while you got 'em. Even if it's virtually.

Damn terrible news, @TigerBait1971

Sorry to hear this.

I know it's rough, but all you can do is remember the good times you've all shared...and appreciate all the good they've done for you and your siblings (if you have any)
My mom passed when I was in my late 30's...and my dad when I was in my mid 50's.
It was tough but you'll get through it. It worked for me & mine.
Stay strong.

🙏
