Bundesliga 2020/2021 Ongoing Thread

Well Dortmund yesterday put up Haaland for $212 mil if you want him this summer. Next summer the clause is $76 mil. So who is going to jump at this? Someone will. Can you imagine Chelsea with Haaland next season.
Cue the “Barcelona to sell all their players to afford Haaland” articles.

There you go. Someone is going to pay the money. Haaland in his last season at Dortmund.
Who would buy a player like Hazard? He’s not even the best Hazard any longer.

Off topic: speaking of players with egos, I see Sweden called up Slatan. I am 50% Swedish and had always wanted a Slatan Swedish jersey and now with him back they have new ones available over at soccer.com.

You see Bayern had talks with him but Zlatan wanted crazy money, per Höneß?

No one. He fell off a cliff at Real. Great deal for Chelsea. Bale too. I think he has another year on his contract. Also yesterday Ramos contract negotiations have stalled.

Too old to pay him crazy money, but I heard that. I still love the guy and he is a Swede. My dad was 100% Swedish. Both parents born in Malmo.

I remember when I was younger and I was surprised to find out he was Swedish. The Slavic last name threw me off until I looked him up.

Haaland signed rookie Topps Bundesliga card just sold for 124K. Wow. From 2019 only.

Lol. My son and I watched Germany Iceland together. He likes Germany International games but has no interest in club soccer. We saw the halftime highlights with Sweden and he goes "Slatan is Swedish?" lol. He knows Slatan but got fooled too by the Slavic name.

My dad took me to see Germany play in the 1994 World Cup at Soldier Field in Chicago. It sparked my interest in soccer. I too enjoyed international soccer before club soccer when I was a boy. Certainly the opposite these days.

For me, my Opa on my mom's side. Born and raised in Germany like my mom. When I was a kid and stayed with my Opa and Oma in the early 70's he would watch "Soccer Made in Germany" in the early 70's on PBS here on the weekend. Those shows are on ESPN+. That was my first taste of Club soccer on tv here, plus the games he took me to in Germany in the early 70's Bundesliga games. I knew the Bundesliga before the International team. Was quite familiar with Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Muller, in the early 70's and Bayern Munich. I was in awe Gerd Muller when I was like 11 years old. Didn't start following Germany until the 1982 World Cup.

He will miss both PSG matches. Not good indeed!
Wow. 4 weeks. That really sucks. There goes the Gerd Muller record. May not win a single trophy this year. Their schedule, Leipzig, PSG twice, Wolfsburg, Union. It is what it is this season. They lost Kimmich for a couple months and now Lewandowski.
I agree with Arnold on this one. He has been damn good this year for the Wolves.

Thomas Muller, Mats Hummels, Jerome Boateng....hold my beer is all he can say.

I hear Bayern is going to make a run at Tottenham's Son. Now that is a player I would love at Bayern.
