Big 12 thread

I like it. He is a good coach and we are getting competitive again. Plus it pays his staff well too.

But, aren’t we all???

Just back from the OU spring game. 3 take aways for me. 1. Caleb Williams played most of the day and had 1 incomplete pass I think and has some wheels. Kids going to be good if we didn't know that already. 2. Eric Grey is perfect for Rileys offense. 3. The defense is going to be the real deal!

What's your read on the Big 12 this year? My early, ill informed, power ratings would be:

1) Oklahoma
2) Iowa State
3) Texas
4) Oklahoma State
5) TCU
6) West Virginia
7) Texas Tech
8) Kansas State
9) Baylor
10 Kansas

However, I think 4-7 is very close. I think the Big 12 could be the 2nd best conference in 2021. I think anyone in the top 6 or 7 could be a top 25 team.

Looks good to me. I'd probably move Baylor up a couple of notches, but the rest looks spot on.

I wasn't really sure where to put Baylor, didn't watch them much last year. Either way, I think they are closer to being the #4 team than they are to being the #10 team. 4-9 really aren't separated by much IMO

Baylor lost Brewer, but the program is still in better shape than the others in the bottom half - at least in my eyes. They took it to ISU in Ames last year in the first half before losing 31-38, but the Cyclones dominated KU, Texas Tech, K-State and West Virginia. That was last year, but there is always some carry over.

Not a lot of difference in 4-9 IMO. I think those six are interchangeable depending on factors like injuries, who teams play prior to the matchups, etc. And I don't think those six are miles behind the first three.
