Definitely a surprise. 21 seasons at Baylor and 3 time national champion
And according to this article, either LSU is really stepping up the salary (triple) or something else is driving this change.

Mulkey Leaving Baylor

"Mulkey reportedly made $2.27 million a year at the private Baylor whereas Fargas made $700,000 per year at LSU."

something went down between the baylor AD and her.. oh well.

Also on another note.. just secured four tickets to the Texas vs pig game in September. I also drove up to Lubbock this past weekend (Aunt is in hospital getting ready to be admitted into hospice).. man what a difference seeing that town in the day vs at night.. #HookEm

If not that then it was something similar because she had it made in the shade at Baylor.

I've always wondered why Baylor hasn't improved their hoops facility. The rest of their facilities have been improved.

NORMAN — Police searched University of Oklahoma wide receiver Trejan Bridges' apartment while investigating an alleged armed robbery and reported finding a .45-caliber Glock handgun and "a bag of green substance appearing to be marijuana."

Police also reported finding a large clear baggie of the green substance in a car he was driving.

Police conducted the searches after a 911 caller reported Bridges, running back Seth McGowan and another male robbed him of marijuana at his Norman apartment the night of April 15.

No charges have been filed and police are still investigating. Both Bridges, 20, and McGowan, 19, deny the accusations.

The victim said Bridges pointed a handgun at him and threatened to kill him during the robbery, a police detective told a judge in requests to do the searches. The victim also said he was beaten.

Police questioned Bridges later that night and he stated he "had nothing to do with this incident," the detective reported.

OU suspended Bridges and McGowan in April, according to multiple media reports, although the university did not identify the athletes.

“We are aware of a matter that may involve OU student-athletes and are monitoring the situation closely,” an OU athletic department spokesman said. “The student-athletes in question have been suspended pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation. We have no other information to share at this time.”

McGowan has since entered the transfer portal, according to media reports.

Both now are being represented by experienced Oklahoma City criminal defense attorneys.

Bridges played in just two games this past season as a sophomore after he was suspended before the 2019 Peach Bowl. That suspension came after he tested positive for marijuana in an NCAA-administered test.

He had two catches for 19 yards, all in the Cotton Bowl, after his suspension ended. The former five-star recruit from Carrollton, Texas, had seven catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns during his freshman season in 2019.

"My client denies any wrongdoing," his attorney, Derek Chance, said Friday. "We will not comment any further until the investigation is complete."

McGowan, who is from Dallas, played in eight games for the Sooners as a freshman during the 2020 season. He compiled 370 yards rushing and three touchdowns, though he only had three carries in OU's last five games.

"It's inappropriate and premature to make any comments about this ongoing investigation," McGowan's attorney, David Ogle, said Friday.

Asked specifically if McGowan also denies wrongdoing, his attorney said, "Absolutely. Absolutely."

Cleveland County District Judge Thad Balkman authorized the searches April 16. Inventories of the searches and related paperwork were filed Thursday.

The victim said he was robbed after he refused in a Snapchat message to sell McGowan marijuana, police detective Brian Franks wrote in search warrant affidavits.

The victim said McGowan then showed up at his apartment.

"The victim stated McGowan was acting strange and had his right hand up his shirt," the detective wrote. "The victim asked him if he a gun and at that point two other males entered the apartment.

"The second male who entered the apartment had a black handgun and pointed it at the victim. During this time the victim grabbed ahold of McGowan and pulled him down to the floor.

"The victim was then struck in the head with the gun and kicked numerous times. The victim stated the second male who pointed the gun at him was Trejan Bridges and he immediately recognized him even though he was wearing a blue surgical mask. The victim was threatened by Bridges that he would be shot and killed."

The victim said the third male ran to his bedroom and "was throwing things around," the detective wrote. The victim said the third male then ran out of the apartment with a green backpack that "appeared to be full of items." He said he later found multiple items missing from his room.

"As the suspects were leaving Bridges told the victim that he would come back and kill him if he got up before ten minutes passed," the detective wrote. "When patrol arrived on scene they observed a living room in disorder and the victim was bleeding from the top of his head."

Police told the judge they were looking in the apartment and car for an AR-15 style pistol, a Canon camera, the green backpack, Balenciaga Triple S shoes, a Gucci belt, a coin purse and jewelry.

Police did not report finding those items.

Police did report finding at the apartment a light blue surgical mask, four Glock magazines, three boxes of .45-caliber ammunition, two glass bongs, a grinder and other drug paraphernalia.

Bridges is now facing eviction from his apartment. The Cottages of Norman LLC accused him of breaching his housing agreement by his "actions" April 15.

Bridges told police he had been at his girlfriend's apartment and then drove to his apartment "to smoke two marijuana blunts," the detective reported. He claimed he was leaving his apartment when he was stopped by police.

Regardless of the outcome Trejan admits he is still smoking. The reason he sat all last year. Bye Felicia.

Thank God I never have to watch Bridges play defense again.

I ain't gonna lie, this hurts and we need the depth. Both kids had a lot of potential. Look at how many reps were lost to these two being in the way.

But when you let this trash behavior in the locker room, focus is lost. Both these kids would probably be 50% better if they could just let that rap-star ethos bullshit go and dedicate themselves to their books and game prep.

I was aboard the Bridges bandwagon.. didn't understand why Herman didn't go after him harder.. it's like he stayed away from him, and Wease. Then i heard about the shit he was getting into at high school..

But I wouldn't sweat Bridges.. the guy that portal'd from Arkansas is pretty good himself. But I do think McGowan hurts
