Happy Trails Albert Pujols......

I happened to be in Kansas City for his MLB debut and decided to go. I'm pretty certain there were more Japanese people in KC that day than all the days before and after combined.
I had the same experience the year Hideo Nomo came up with the D**gers. His first game at Candlestick was an absolute sellout in a year where the Giants sucked and barely drew 10,000 fans to a game. There were a million flashbulbs with every pitch. Dude threw a one-hitter (Royce Clayton legged out an infield single for the only hit). Most of the concessions were closed because they had let everyone go due to low attendance.

The Brewers need a bat. We already have a trash 1st baseman, Albert couldn't be any worse and rake better than Hiura.
I don't know, Pujols' OPS has been under .700 for three of the past five years, and it's been a quick drop from his

season in 2016.

That's ok. Hiura's OPS is barely over .500 this year. And his defense is absolute garbage. He makes Prince Fielder look like a Gold Glover.

It looks like Vogelbach's putting up similar numbers to what Pujols did in Anaheim, so maybe you might find some food service savings by bringing in Pujols to play first.

This is pretty on point. Vogelbach just looks like he's from Wisconsin.

Yeah, they were spending money like there was no tomorrow for a while. LAA also overpaid for CJ Wilson at that time too. How Trout is not pissed is crazy.

Holy crap I forgot about CJ Wilson. They also took on the Vernon Wells contract.

It's my understanding that if a team picks him up, they'll pay him league minimum and LA is on the hook for the rest.
The Bobby Bonilla special?

what makes you say that?

he lived in KC a lot of his youth. In laws are there and his main house is there. Pretty sure his wife and kids were there most of the year with kids going to school there. He’s a got a signed Brad Lidge jersey in the basement. Lol

And Mike Matheny is there and the Royals are doing well I believe.

but he could hang it up too. But I think he needs to go back home and figure out some things.

One of my favorite AP homerrhhhhun mang

oh i see

I feel obligated to defend my adopted homeland and point out that compared to Texas BBQ, KC BBQ is straight garbage.

i like both, they're both tasty to me.

KC BBQ sucks. Thick, sweet sauce is for kids. Give my that Carolina mustard or Georgia vinegar any day

Pablo Sandoval has turned into a nice bench piece for the Braves. If Albert is humble enough to take on a bench role, he’ll make a fine pinch hitter

Pujols is staying in SoCal....signing a tentative deal with the Dodgers....

You wait and see.

He's going to end up hitting one of those Kirk Gibson home runs in the playoffs.

he can still hit LHP, but I don't think he's going to see much playing time once they're healthier.
