My understanding was he'd been arrested but not convicted yet when he was our driver (which was mid-2019?). Not sure what happened with him, that case, or his Uber status.

Wow.
I don't know the differences in stalking laws in various states, but at least in California, the overwhelming majority of people who get arrested for and charged with stalking have already had a CPO or TRO issued against them and violated it more than once. Otherwise, they'd just be charged with misdemeanor harassment.

In other words, people don't just up and get arrested and charged stalking ... it's a long and drawn out process, and the victim has to go through a lot of shit before a DA's office will actually go for the stalking charge. I literally lost track of how many times my stalker violated the CPO's that were issued before he finally got charged with felony stalking.

I was wondering why you'd fancy word like tomfoolery, then I got to the "I'll just stick to calling my old car service."

I never realized you were so hoity-toity.

Must have been quite uncomfortable to acquire such knowledge.

Sorry... but it's your Cali (kiss it we'll make it better) laws that allow for this kind of crap. Like you say, it takes forever to get a restraining order (or similar) and when you do get one, it tends to be ignored without any REAL penalty for violating it.

Put the HAMMER Down on these IDJITS!!

You're preaching to the choir on that.
That said, getting thrown in jail does tend to be a deterrent for most people.
This guy is just a psycho piece of shit for whom jail and even state prison doesn't seem to matter.

It used to be that way. Now a stalking charge can be substantiated with 2 or more instances of targeted harassment. PFSs and PFAs are pretty easy to get here too. Uber just didn't check is my thought.

Found a pic of you picking up your kind of woman

They need to make you stick your ass into a sizer like they do for carryons.

“Sorry, Tubby. You’re gonna need two seats”

Must have been quite uncomfortable to acquire such knowledge.

That's quite the understatement.

Hahahaha.

Sticking your ass into a sizer should definitely be required.
If you don't fit, you have to purchase the seat next to you.

As far as the weighing goes, since it's to comply with the requirements of a Federal Agency, I wonder if a 4th Amendment argument can be made against it.

True. I have no idea what it's like to go through that.

I wasn't even trying to give you shit by saying it's an understatement.
I just couldn't help but chuckle over the idea of it being uncomfortable.

And now to completely change the subject ...

I went to pick up some pupusas from my favorite place, commented on how I really liked these glasses they had (I'd never seen them there before) - like mason jars, but they have handles and flowers are painted on them - and when I got home and unpacked my food, the lady behind the counter had put one in my bag!

Was it half full or half empty?

It must have been a muggy day...

If they start weighing people to decide how many seats you have to buy then the next time dole takes a girl on a trip they'll make his ass buy every seat in first class.
