EPL 2020/2021

@ralphiewvu My David luiz jersey worked!!! Bale! You damn dirty Ape! You blew it all to hell!!!

we are going to get our shit pushed in by city in the final
Dude, that was crazy shit. There was a point in the second half with LFC only up 1 and Leicester winning and Chelsea getting a goal back that i thought “WE ARE SCREWED”. Because drawing 1-1 to a bad team at home is the most 2021 Liverpool thing ever. But then Mane deflected his second through, Villa held serve and Leicester went off the deep end. ALL IS WELL on Mersey Side.

No lie, I’m probably going to put a few bucks on Chelsea Saturday. Tuchel is still a good coach and Chelsea do play solid D under him. I could totally see Chelsea winning. An it’d be hella funny to watch the egg head miss out on another Champions League Trophy at big money city.

That end of Leicester Spurs game was wild because they both needed to score. A tie screwed them both. No defense at all. Leicester just doesn't have a Kane or Bale. Bale heroics, but I guess he is going back to Madrid with that salary no one wants.

If Harry Kane goes to Man City, what a travesty. No limits money there it seems. No financial fair play it seems too....I guess.

A final day to remember for sure. Can’t believe Tottenham of all clubs bailed us out. What a shit performance.
Yeah I think we can win to, but not with today’s lineup. Kante back and healthy is key. If we could just score Jesus Christ we love to shot into defenders or straight at the keeper.

Yeah they both seemed to be trying to score and of course I didn’t take that over. I don’t see Bale going anywhere else but Real because as you mentioned that salary.

Henry Kane pfffffffhhhhh, I’m worried Messi is going to City. Hell, can you imagine both going? They certainly splash, fucking saudi‘s

Yeah no one is going to give Chelsea a chance. That D is still solid. I’ll probably take the ML and the spread on Chelsea.

I didn't even want to turn the game on because i was sure we were going to lose. The PK given up within the first 15 min confirmed my suspicions. But I'll be damned if Spurs didn't find a way to lure me back in. The final 20 min were pretty wild because a draw helped neither side. It was especially interesting due to the Chelsea and Arsenal scores going on at the same time.

Couple of thoughts on Bale & Kane:

Bale - I doubt he returns to Real. His play isn't on par with his contract, so no one will want to buy him outright, but Spurs are more than happy to pay for part of that salary to bring him back for 1 more year. If I had to wager, I'd bet he comes back to Spurs again next season or possibly just retires...though I doubt he would want to forfeit that final salary year. Real is happy to let him go to Spurs again. Getting some money back from those wages is better than nothing.

Kane - I was convinced this was his last game in a Spurs jersey prior to the game. I'm still pretty sure he's gone, but there's some doubt now at least. A couple things remain major roadblocks to him transferring: he's under contract through 2024 and Levy will want world record fees for him to leave. I'm just not sold that any clubs will be willing to pay that much for him. IMO, whether he goes or stays will depend largely on who they announce as their new manager.

FFP was and is a joke. It doesn't really apply to the big teams, if it did City, Barca, Real Madrid etc would all be in massive trouble. FIFA/UEFA only ever really applied it to lower teams, especially teams like Bolton and other League 1/2 teams.

Conte out at Inter.

I'm wagering he's the new Spurs boss within a week.

Zindane out too.

I RETRACT MY STATEMENT.

Makes more sense for Conte to end up at Madrid. Now there's rumors about Spurs bringing Poch back.

Wild times.

Yes saw many posts from England saying the have contacted him. If I were Poch, my response to Levy would be:

I don't think it makes sense from a Spurs perspective either. Seems like a step back rather than forward for the program. Love Poch, but there's a reason they decided to move on. Coming back to a locker room of largely the same players isn't a recipe for success.

Exactly. Levy made a huge mistake, when he got rid of Poch, and brought in Mou, everyone said how it would end, and it ended exactly the way everyone said. Now he's stuck, and will be lucky to get any top notch manager to come there.

I guess I'm the odd one out here, but I think firing Poch was the right move. The team was stagnating and it was clear his message had grown stale in the locker room.

I liked the Mourinho hire, and still like him as a coach. Everything he was trying to do made perfect sense to me. The biggest fuckup was Levy not backing him with the defensive help he needed this season. When things start going poorly under Mou, it can get ugly fast.

Spurs need to go in a different direction. I don't think Conte is going to happen. Would be very interested in Galtier though.

The Championship Championship (for 3rd place) today!

Brentford v Swansea

I’m rooting for Brentford to make it up so we have some new blood in the EPL.

Haven’t been up since 1947, I didn’t know that long. I agree want to see them an Toney. And holy fuck!?! That third goal Toney almost scored? The volley banger off the post? Holy shit that was bad larry

It’s crazy it’s been that long. Swansea had been up only 3 seasons ago. I’m happy for brentford. Toney should of had his second.

Ancellotti out at Everton.

Wow! I guess I understand it. They spent a ton and really showed no improvement in the league table after their late season collapse. There was a time this season where they looked certain for UCL.

Heading to Real Madrid. Can't pass up going back to Spain I guess.
