Greatest sports moments you've seen live.

It was the Barber INT return that still sticks in my head almost 20 years later. The Jurievicius TD sucked, but a lot of game was left.

Of the two back to back NFCCG losses that would sucked so much worse.
B Mitch opened the game up with such a nice return too. That was supposed to be their year.

I still remember that. The Bucs have never won under a certain temperature. Easy.

Until it wasn’t….

IMO, this qualifies.

This reminded me of the greatest thing I ever witnessed in connection with a sporting event but was not sports related. It happened right here in Vegas after a UNLV football game. @Handicappers and I were walking thru the parking lot high fiving all the UNLV fans about the big win when a bunch of fans from the other team came up to us and told us to shut up. Handi and I started mouthing off to these guys but then this really big guy stepped right up in our face. He was very pissed off and clearly was gonna hit us. However, before either of us could say anything, @Peter Gozintite (who had been walking a little behind us) came up to this big guy and without saying a word picked him up and slammed on the ground. This guy landed on his back and was just convulsing. Everyone stood there in shock and Peter just said “nobody fucks with The Crew”. He then looked at Handi and I and said “let’s go”. We just walked away like nothing happened and nobody said a word to us.

I’ve always wondered what happened to that guy? 🤔

So many ridiculous Bo Jackson stories.

I still can't believe the throw he made in an Auburn vs UAB baseball game where he threw a line drive perfect one hopper from the fence in center field to home plate.

The runner had no clue where the ball came from and the third base coach had to have surgery to put his jaw back from hitting the ground.

I was not at the kick six game....huge regret.

First monday night game ever in that stadium.

Worst game, to best game

I was at the first MNF game at Ford Field.

Cutler couldn’t hear a damn thing.

And drunk Lions fans were beating each other’s asses all over the place. We didn’t know what to do with ourselves at a night game. Waaaaaay too much pregame. (Tigers had playoff game in Texas that same night, I think.)

I fuckin' love me some Cutler. IDGAF what anyone says, that dewd was a black cloud baller.

Though I'm mostly a Steelers fan due to family connections and being raised up as one, I've always had a soft spot for my hometown of Philadelphia and the Eagles, after seeing them fail so much to watch them win the Super Bowl and bring genuine joy to my neighborhood for once in my lifetime was certainly quite the experience. Not to mention it's a great example of a Cinderella/Underdog team winning it all.

It's true, here is dbldwn and Handi's selfie afterwards.

Probably the Piazza/Poop Game. It was September 2004, Phillies leading the Mets 4-3 with 2 outs in the top of the 9th. Mike Piazza's at the dish, and he crushes a hanging slider from Jose Mesa that clears the brick facade out in center field. Then as he's rounding second base, pumping his arms up and down, a very noticeable turd falls down and out of his pant legs. Piazza pretends that nothing happened and continues rounding the bases, but Joe West (the home plate ump) walks out and picks up the piece of poop. He squishes it around in his hand, smells it, and then points at Piazza (who is walking back to the dugout and high-fiving teammates) and calls him out, ending the ballgame.

Of course, Piazza goes crazy and rushes out to West, getting in his face and yelling "It's not my fault!!! I'm a catcher in my personal life too you fucking homophobe!!!" (it was a bad night for him to be mic'd up) but Cowboy Joe was having none of it. It was a historic game to go to and I'll never forget it.

#1vs#2 OSU michigan game, I think. Even though the match didn't age well, it was exciting at the time.
