I just put all the teams side by side and ranked each position 1-10 without looking at who was one what team. FBs were lumped in with #2 RB, #2 TEs and #4 WRs ranking them based on my perception of their performance within their positions (not as FBs). Same with #2DT being lumped with #2 ILBs). That's just to make it easier for me.

Unfortunately this made the rankings as much about name recognition as anything, but I did spend my entire Saturday doing something else and just whipped these rankings out in 30-40 minutes.

I don’t see judging being based on rankings I look at matchups when voting.Games are based on matchups. You know as a Wazzu fan we’ve seen matchups and mismatches win games over higher ranked teams for a long time. Fwiw you had the top 90-19 offense in the draft by my numbers. Hated not seeing your team and the others in the games. Rankings worked better last draft. But there also may be a better way to decide games imo

You had a lot going on with your test which was very important and you have a lot to be proud of passing the test was big. I know you’re going to finish strong and have even more to be proud of

Rankings hold no bearings on games each team is unique.

Maybe to you but you can't say the same for anyone else, you don't know if someone see's another guys rankings that, that might influence his decisions when voting.

Don’t get me wrong I lm not fond of seeing teams eliminated because of rankings that aren’t public.

We established from the start rankings will not influence voting. Already said voting is based on matchups each team is different. No different than college football rankings are rankings games are decided by match ups, Nothing to do with trust purely based on system.

Rankings should not effect voting matchups effect voting. Never really cared for rankings but I am of the college football mindset. Rankings always posted games decided by matchups

I’m not forgetting human emotion and influence. That’s always been a part of the drafts from perception of players down to voting. We could say that about the old voting that became very complacent.The new system is a step in the right direction don’t like seeing teams eliminated but rankings should be public like college football. But we are still lacking discussion in the voting. But I liked the idea of being able to talk about the games and judges being able to change votes. Right now we are just repeating the same cycle as before. Don’t get me wrong I don’t care if I lose games. I just want to see a better way to decide games for everyone. There’s got to be a better way imo

I made my rankings on the individual assessment of the squads in terms of who was the most complete with the least amount of holes in a roster. Tried not to go big names just overall groupings as a whole. Funny I did the same thing as @TheRobotDevil and got completely different results. I thought my teams were better than others did, but its a learning process.

There’s no reason not to post rankings after the games. Then again I’ve only seen my rankings and two versions of your rankings……..

Rankings in collge football have zero influence on the actually game being played, that's not the case here. Rankings can and will be made public AFTER the judging process has determined a winner. For everyone to know them before hand opens up the possibility of influencing the judges with opinion. If we change that now then we might as well stop using judges as it defeats the purpose.

The lack of discussion really isn't about the voting process at all, it's about we all know everyone else's opinions so there's really nothing left to talk about, I guess we could be like the political forum and just keep arguing the same things with the same people but we be too smart to do that.

You edited your original rankings post saying you didn’t use any metrics post 214. Not sure why you didn’t just edit your system you changed in post 214 rather than switching it to oops and writing the whole thing over lolz

What advantage is there to showing the rankings prior to the playoff? It literally would change nothing about the result of the rankings, it can however influence a judges vote, especially if they see that so and so ranked me last, well fuck him then I ain't voting for his team! People can do the same thing when you vote against them….They could do the same thing if they had someone vote against them in a previous draft….They could be influenced by another voters write up…I don’t believe anyone would do that. Nor do I believe they would based on rankings being posted. We are losing three teams directly to the rankings it is no different than our voting. Another form of voting at the least.We’ve always posted our votes the rankings are part of the voting process. No reason not to post both the same.
