I gave Coach Collins a year 0 last year. This year I think it is optimistic to get 2-3 wins. Always hard to recruit here, but it could get better now that upcoming players aren't scared off by the scheme. It was hard enough competing for recruits as a predominantly Engineering school in the middle of SEC Country without having an offense nobody wanted to play in.
My personal takes:
Wake's been pretty decent since 2017, but they always get railed like a $2 whore by Clemson
I just figured it being first game of the season (a weird season at that), and Clemson comes out very conservative early in seasons.
Austin Peay looked like absolute dog shit and Pitt may be a solid team this year, so i think they have a chance to run away with it.
I just don't know what to expect. I am really hoping to be pleasantly surprised this year, but I honestly can't put my finger on a single sure win.
I hate UNC. Refs always wearing those powder blue glasses. I have seen some crazy calls. Always went against us. If you're playing in Chapel Hill, forget about it.
I think they are a solid team. Solid defense. Ok offense with a hard nosed at QB. They just play to their opponents every week. Which is why, even tho Cuse looks like they will be trash this year, I think it'll be a close game. But yeah, I think the media loves Mack Brown and Sam Howell is a sexy pick; therefore, UNC is getting recognition and ranked high
I have to admit, When Mack gets the talent he seems to be tough to beat, at least in a weak ACC. His problem now is that he wont be beating Dabo.
Its difficult to really get a read on them tho. Nearly every single one of their games was within 3-4 points either way it seemed. They could have easily gone 9-3 or 3-9
