Oh, me too. I don’t regularly follow Premier League as much as I would like I’ve always preferred Liverpool over the rest.
And Mbappe is real deal. That dance in the box and popped goal that was disallowed today was just gorgeous.

But I agree, Mbappe is hella good. Get him in his prime while you can. If city gets Messi, I fear they’ll get Mbappe in a year.

I decided I will try to watch Italy-Switzerland today, but not sure what I’m getting from either team.
Maybe that’s for the best, I thought the 3pm game yesterday was going to be electrifying, but about the only real approximation excitement was the last 20 mins or so.

Don't sleep on Italy. Good mix of young and old players, and Mancini is a very good manager.
This is my problem with only tuning in every 3-4 years. Italy’s last three Cups were two group stage knockouts and didn’t even qualify in 2018. I have no clue where they are in rebounding.
Switzerland I have no clue either….I’ve just always seen them as a scrappy team that can often pop up and give you a game. Hoping for that today.
The Ventura era was a fiasco that most Italians would rather forget about.

Italy is more of attacking team now in somewhat the Sarri way but without sacrificing their traditional defensive ways. They are good team. Their coach also brought in younger players before, in some cases, they got real chances at their clubs. Locatelli is a prime example of this.
Youngsters do get a better shot in Serie A than most leagues, it seems. They're the old guys now, but it was the same when Insigne and Immobile when they were young. Plus look at Donnarumma. They have a good mix of young and old, and have a lot of options going forward, but with their traditionally strong midfield and defense.

Germany's attack looked great today. Defense still leaves something to be desired though. No complaints for any of the attackers or midfield. Emery Can still sucks though. Pepe needs to retire. 38 years old got eaten up on that left side a few times.
Much more impressive today. I want to say just Hungary ahead they should I stroll on into the next round, but I’m leery of anything this year. A draw could make things dicey (I’m also not fully up on what third place groupings get in here). Germany, Portugal and France have the save goal differential.
Anything but three points on Hungary and it gets interesting, but I think they walk through with this impressive win today.
