4 of the 6 3rd place teams move on. Goal differential is the first tiebreaker, then I think goals. Those 4 Germany put up today really helped. I don't trust Germany against anyone, but that Hungary game in Munich. France vs Portugal in Hungary. Big game for those two. Germany put themselves in the drivers seat but need to hammer the gas now.
 
I was surprised how good Renato Sanches looked. He was a Bayern bust but he took control of the midfield later. Look what he has done at Lille this year. He may have turned the corner. Way better than Bruno Fernandes today.

My grandma was 100% Polish, Verchuk. POLSKA!!!

Oddly enough my grandpa was 100% italian coming over from Naples with his parents. I fucking detest Italia.

Nice. My dad is 100% Swedish. Just bought a Euro 2020 Ibrahimovic Swedish home jersey when he called up. Looks great. One of the best looking jerseys the blue and yellow. Had to have that. But then he got hurt.

Grandpa on my mom side is all German, but again Grandma parents Polish. Changed their maiden name to Buchner from Grabowski once the NAZIs showed up just in case. Grandpa maiden name Bormann. Not easy the interagation coming through Ellis Island with that name for my mom and her brother as kids. So I root for Germany, Sweden, Poland. That Poland vs Sweden game Wednesday is a big game for me. I will win that one no matter what.

I did my DNA test a few years ago, I have a little Irish in me too lol. Mom said one on the German relatives came from Ireland a while back. But I am 50% Swedish so that that told me my dad side 100% Swedish.

Damn, that’s awesome. It’s really cool knowing where you come from.

What I mentioned was all on my moms side. My dads a mix of Norwegian, German, English and something else. I’m basically a mutt, lol. I want to get a polish uni but I feel like I need an American Pulisic or Steffen jersey. They grew up the next counties Over from where I live.

I have a Polish Lewandowski. Hard to find. Not sure if authentic, as it was made in Poland. But the color scheme correct from a few years ago. Got it in EBAY.

I am thinking about a Pulisic USA also. Lots of time for that but I hate the new USA jerseys.

Steffen is from Coatesville. Right next to Downingtown. My daughter bf from Downingtown and she went to college in Philly but we are from California. She loves Eagles and Phillies, but Flyers that would cross the line with her father and the Sharks loyalties here (even though they are as sorry of an NHL playoff unachiever that has existed for the last 30 years....other than the Leafs).
 
I see the Euros are now playing final Group stage games from a single Group at the same time ... so no tanking or score watching. I think Wales advanced on goal differential. With Swiss win too, most likely Italy, Wales, Swiss advance. That is one 3rd place team probably in from this group at 4 points.

Very nice. I should get a Polska jersey considering I have about 5 Red Sox jerseys and a few WVU jerseys.

I love those new looking red and blue uni’s. I’m just a cheap ass and don’t want to pay though lol.

While I was born in Mass, I’ve lived most of my life in Pa. Grandparents (on dads side lived and died in Mass, still have an aunt up there). My wife’s side is basically Lancaster, PA. Most of my buddies are Philly fans. I’m telling this to you because there is not a fan base I HATE more then Philly fans. They are the most classless garbage I have ever met. It’d be like if one of the Italian Serie A teams made a baby with drunk english fans.

But I am very familiar with with downington as one of my best friends went to grad school at West Chester but lived in downingtown. Good times my friend.

My wife’s a diehard flyers fan, I have tried to get my boys (2 and 5) to like the B’s but unfortunately I have only converted them to the Sox and WVU. (I think)

Tough slogging with F1 in France and COPA.

Dirty job but some body has to do it.

I think the Germans are rounding into form.

Amazed Bale horribly missed a penalty but made up for it with the sweet pass.

England-Scotland as expected.

Anyway, seen every game, COPA as well. Loving it all.

Her previous bf was from South Philly and she lived with him during college there. Phillies were good then, this was around 2008. I visited a lot there from 2007 to 2012. Had business trips to Mechanicsburg a lot then too and bookended going to games there with them on the weekends before I went home. Went to lots of Flyers games then since I love hockey. Flyer fans pretty rough too especially seeing the Rangers and Capitals. Eagles fans worst of all. Jail below there lol. Where she lived we could walk to all the arenas. Nice they are all in the same location too how they have done it there.

I do like passionate and knowledgeable fans though. I respect that. Go to Sharks game in San Jose and it is full of white wine sipping Silicon Valley types no knowledge hockey fans who defend the team through threw it all, so there no pressure for change. They treat Patrick Marleau like he is some kind of God. Biggest playoff softie ever, same with Joe Thornton. Those guys should have been traded 10 years ago. I am a Silicon Valley type too (I write software) but have zero tolerance for the way this franchise is run. I watched hockey since California Golden Seal Days, and my boy played hockey out here too for years. Marleau and Thornton would have been run of Boston, Philly, New York in heartbeat......oh wait Thornton was run out of Boston lol.

Netherlands Austria through today. Ukraine at 3 points. Borderline case for moving on to knockout stage.
 
I’m just ready for knockouts. Let the wheat and chaff be separated. I don’t know that I’ve settled on a favorite yet, but I found my underdog to cheer for in Wales. I’ve always liked Bale and they could be fun in knockouts. Or not.

I was at a Phillies game vs Boston game in April. It was waaay more calm then sixer games or the eagle game I went too. I have no problem with Philly fans passion and love for their team. But there classless bullshit mainly because they can’t handle their alcohol gets annoying.

Thornton had like 2 good years in Boston. I always thought he underperformed considering how big he is. I was happy they traded in early 2000’s if I’m not mistaken.

Marleau and Thornton their NHL goal every year is to get to the Golf Links after 1 round of the playoffs. How did Marleau and Thornton work out for the Leafs in the playoffs the last few years lol?
