Knocked. The. Fuck. Out.

Had to watch this one again to see what happened because it was pretty quick.

Kid that got knocked out fainted the left jab or simply missed with it. Not sure which, whether he intended it as a bluff to set up the straight right he throws next, or he simply didn't step or lean forward enough to make contact.

Whatever the case....the guy who knocks him out throws his right hook over this missed/fainted jab as soon as he misses with it and before he can throw the straight right that never lands either, because he is now knocked out before it lands.

Very quick. That's why they say you must protect yourself at all times. Even when you are on offense....
This is how I saw it as well. He clearly didn’t swing because of just words. I get that. What I struggle with is he wasn’t backed up against a wall.

I said earliest in this thread it’s assault. But, I don’t know what a DA would do. He might just be cleared of most charges if there were any. I can’t be sure if little douche could even win if he sues him.

What I do see (and I think you were the first to call out) is that he is toast in his community of fighters. Or at least he should be….who knows if that code is even a thing anymore. I just know it’s the way it should be….you learn these advanced skills you should also be learning when/when not to use them.

Quick hands - another case of being first or being last.

This has nothing to so with the other video. These two guys were squared up. The guy throwing the first punch gets slipped and clipped. so, this is a case of second winning... haha...

who is "we"? you a part of some sorta fight club er sumptin'?

Wait a minute... his commentary was regarding the tennis court fight he posted, no? Are you applying it to the Schilling video because you see the two knockouts as similar situations?

Nope. I just didn’t bother to see what that was posted off of.

It was off of the tennis court video. I’ve got no issue with that one at all. Both squared up and ready to go. That feint and quick strike was fucking boss!

You're wrong bro. He clearly takes a hand, and shoves the douche. He doesn't say excuse me, and looked pretty fucking rude. I might have smack him for that alone 25 years ago.
No he didn't. The dude was rudely moving backwards not paying attention or caring about those around him. He ran into the guy, he grabs him as to stop him from moving into him, moves him aside, passes and that's it. I have seen that shit countless times and have only EVER seen it be a problem when the person that was in or blocking the way starts talking shit for no reason. Most people just say something like 'oh excuse me' or 'my bad' and that's it. If you smacked him, you would have likely ended up like the dumbass.
I'm not going to respond to each of your points. As a PRO fighter, you have a responsibility to respect that you are far and away above the average Joe in combat. You have a duty to not use those skills unless threaten with something you can't walk away from. You are wrong
The difference between a Pro fighter and a person on the street is paperwork and monitored health. Pretty much anyone, so long as in relatively good health can complete the documents and become a "pro" fighter. Nothing about it means that you know how to fight, there is no inherent ability. It isn't as if the licensing agent says you have to beat such and such to become a professional or be able to take a punch or be able to do anything. Shit, when I was younger and in the fight scene, we didn't even need to have ammys. If Schilling had started the confrontation or if the guy didn't jump at him, I would probably agree, but he didn't. If Schilling had continued to hit the guy after he went down, I would completely agree, but he didn't. He stopped a guy from rudely running into him, then turned to the guy when he started talking shit for no reason, then hit him first when the dumbass jumped at him as if to hit him. At no point did Schilling instigate anything. Those are the facts and they are indisputable.

Don't jump at somebody as if to strike them or you may have a bad time. Be courteous and aware of your surroundings and how you may be impacting others or you may have a bad time. Alcohol is not an excuse.

Yeah, I think it was a feint. He wasn't in a good position to throw it with meaning or intent and it drops right away, but then again, the right he tries to throw immediately after that left feint isn't in a good position either. If you try to pause it at the 3 second mark, he is WAY out of position and the dude is in prime counter hook position.... which obviously landed lol. Footwork and movement are some of if not the most important things in boxing/fighting. It's most of your offense and defense.

But one of the first things you learn in boxing when throwing a punch is to not drop it extended. You throw the punch straight, it comes straight back to protect you. I don't think this kid had any training or knew that.

no shit it's not "inherent", sherlock. but i think all reasonable people can come to an agreement that a "professional fighter" is simply going to be better suited for hand-to-hand combat than some random schmuck that never even thinks about fighting, let alone trains upon it for countless hours per week.

So you are saying that merely because of his job, he should let someone hit him. Sounds smart. That's like cops. Hey, you guys train with guns, you should let that guy try to shoot you first before responding.

He could have, there is also no reason to expect the dude to be upset, talking shit, or jump at him in the first place. I don't think there was any reasonable expectation of violence until the dude jumped at him. At that point, he could either take a hit, possibly KOing him, falling back, hitting his head on a table and killing him when he did nothing wrong or strike first and ensure his safety. There is a chance that the dude never would have thrown a punch, but how is Schilling supposed to know that when the dude made the motion like he was going to hit him in the first place?

You are wrong again. Douche was trying to get out of the servers way, by backing up. He didn't know that fucking bully fag was standing there.

In a way absolutely. Trained professionals ARE held to a higher standard. Why is that hard to understand? If dickhead bully fag just keeps walking, nothing happens. Please stop

I just can’t agree with you on this. I’ve admitted as much earlier this morning….I’m not sure if this rises to the level of assault since the dip shit bounced at him.

But, I just can’t buy the argument that this drunk, pip squeak fuck was going to throw any damage. And I find it wrong to say that a guy who is trained well enough to throw what he threw couldn’t defend a throw from this smaller prick.

If he threw and MMA guy blocks it (he would have) and then threw this 1-2 I’m much better with it. But it’s sketchy short of that.

There is a lot of talk about ethics of being a trained fighter, and that he should feel the heat from his compatriots. I’m not sure if that’s a thing anymore (along with a lot of more noble things that are gone from the world). But, it should be.

Watching this video I hear my daughters sensei growing up talking about the responsibility of using what they learn right. I know, but that’s just my closest personal exposure to these areas….and he was always right to me.

the fighter said on one of his social media that the guy was saying the N word singing some rap song while staring at some black people.
He went to the bathroom & when he came out ended up socking up the drunk guy. To me this guy had it in his head he was gonna sock up the guy. Saw some youtube video with Michael Bisping explaining it. If you are a trained fighter. You have no business picking a fight with drunk people. Even if they are being idiots.

but point being the fighter was looking to KO this guy. Wasnt like this guy just accidentally pick a fight with the wrong guy.

I asked it last night and I ask it again….who is shooting this video of this drunk guy and why? Understanding the fighters table was over where the camera was and he was coming back from the bathroom just raises that question more.
