Nebraska's national appeal went to shit. Colorado, Mizzou, and A&M had little if any.

I think a Big 12 Network could have possibly saved things. If there were one I'd surf it even though the Huskers are no longer there.
I watch the ACC and SEC Networks on occasion. I no longer get the PAC 12 Network after switching from PS Vue to HULU or I'd surf there too once in a while.

fwiw, there's a reason why the ACC is behind the other conferences in revenue, despite the ACC technically having a presence up and down the eastern seaboard. ACC has a disproportionate amount of smaller, private schools (which is why ND prefers the ACC over the Big Ten, btw) and those schools tend to not have as big of a following as big state schools. You can also argue that Georgia Tech, despite being a state school, has more in common with the private schools of the conference than the public schools due its academic profile + fan following.

Splitting up the money evenly between conference members is socialist. Eventually the person/company/university doing most of the heavy lifting gets tired of it and rebels. Of course then they're called "selfish" and all kinds of stuff but when it happens the entity that just called BS on everyone else couldn't care less about being called names. They just want to get away from the moochers.

Let’s make this easy, they don’t base markets on the amount of alumni watching. That is dead wrong. The Big got a big contract because of the major cities they encompass. Or they wouldn’t have added Rutgers and Maryland.

You are literally trying to argue people switching from cable to a streaming site doesn’t effect a market. That’s flat out wrong. A cable company cares about paying customers, if all there paying customers go to streaming that is going to affect them and how much they pay. That is how you are dead wrong (again) on streaming not affecting a market.

Your initial reaction is to think you are smarter then everyone else when in actuality you aren’t. You are wrong on this.

I have found myself being less and less willing to take the time and spend the money to see a lot of OU home games And we have stopped going to most away games except for Texas and Oklahoma State. Truthfully, playing a lot of the Big XII teams no longer sent a tingle up my leg. So I just give our tickets to someone else who doesn't have any other way to see a game in good seats and let them enjoy the experience. But I can hardly wait for SEC teams to come marching into Norman acting like they own the place and see what happens when OU has a steady diet of really good opponents. And I'm looking forward to making trips to many of the SEC schools because I know it's going to be wild as hell when Oklahoma rolls into town to play them. We already know the Alabama fans are great visitors and great hosts; we'll see about the other schools.

Can’t wait until you visit Baton Rouge. it’s a shock to most SEC people so you will lose your mind.

Possible. Texas, OU and the SEC could come up with the money to make it happen. That's a 9.5 mil each parting gift for the remaining schools. Hope they spend it wisely.
