yeah, long drives after flying sucks, but I'll bet half way on your drive home you wished you could stop and take a flight home.

I spent 80% of my Delta points on my flight to my parent's place next month. Sure, I could get a cheap Southwest flight into Philly or Newark, and drive 3 hours, but fuck that. That's what my brother is doing. Then I'll text him and laugh as I arrive home while he's still in the security line in Philly.

One of the doctors I worked for, even with ability to get reimbursed would go out of his way to get a good deal including renting cars to travel between cities or even use trains

While I could appreciate effort to save $$, never made sense to me as he had plenty of travel funds....

morning all

Ok weekend. Our dachshund hurt her back saturday, not sure how, just randomly started indicating pain. She's on steroids and muscle relaxers next 3 weeks, hopefully that resolves it. At 13 we're not going to do another back surgery

Murray's knee has a minor infection at incision site from where they removed surgical pins. Not a huge deal, just needs to be on antibiotics for week or so

Pretty good weekend. Lowkey Saturday....local parade with the kids and then hung outside with them using the sprinkler and our cheap ass pool the rest of the day. Yesterday I cleaned all damn day. Deep clean of the kitchen....cleaning the oven, degreasing the hood, cleaning above the cabinets, organized a bunch of cabinets/drawers, etc. Took all damn day. If I didn't know better I would've thought I was nesting (I swear I'm not).

I used to drive to Atlanta rather than flying but only because my client's office was north of Atlanta and the airport is south through tons of crazy traffic. Time to drive was probably the same as flying and sitting in shitty traffic.
