Poultry free Tuesday

"open concept" imo imo.

nothing like white walls with contrasting white cupboards and doors

Pretty much every two story house in my area built in the past 15 years has a downstairs main bedroom. Allows you to age in place.
I mean, stairs are stairs.

Unless by "downstairs", you mean the main level?

No basements in Dallas. There’s ground level and upstairs. In my house, the main and guest are on the ground level and the kids rooms are upstairs.
There is no "ground level" in my place. You either have to go upstairs to the second level (then upstairs to the third) or downstairs to the first. It's an olds free blueprint.

Gotcha. We call that a split level. Not too many of those around here.

Yea, splits.

Pretty much 90% of the builds in the 2010s around here are bi or tri level splits. All cookie cutters.
It’s a regional thing. They’re popular in some parts of the country (mostly the Midwest and Northeast). The rest of the country doesn’t have a lot of them.

Don't you live in the wide open spaces up there. They don't have single story open floor plans?

Pffffffft, There's no "wide open" spaces here. I'm suburbs dawgy.

Essentially the developers are buying a bunch of land in different divisions and building the same cookie cutter shit in grids. The houses all in our little 6 block radius are all the same developer and all the same bi/tri designs, with a couple twinhomes with the same designs sprinkled in (why the fuck would you want this?) to maximize builds in the amount of land they bought.

I wish we had a walk-out, house I wanted to buy was a walk out and much better layout

You had nice set up deck wise prior to upgrades...
You don't like the upgrades???? HOW DARE YOU.

Tired and about to go to sleep.
