Didn't help that:

McKennie suspended COVID protocol (did the same with Juventus this year).
Reyna did not play due to injury.
Dest injured in first half.

But still it looked like a rudderless ship.

It definitely makes some impact if those players aren't there, especially Reyna and McKennie. But I'm getting tired of commentary I'm seeing in soccer media, Twitter, etc about how tough CONCACAF is. It's not. Outside of Mexico and once upon a time the US, rarely does a team make any noise outside the region against other nations. Most of the time, they're afterthoughts because the talent just isn't there. The US and Mexico should dominate every single time, especially the way qualifying is done now. Even with players out, the US still has plenty of good talent. There's no excuse for them to struggle this badly.

Sargent and Prefok garbage. Sit their asses down. There is no attacking midfielder with McKennie sent packing too. Acosta, Lettget, Adams none thrill me offensively. Forgot Tim Weah injured too. I expect Honduras to win 1-0 or it will be a 0-0 tie.

Costa Rica did make a reasonable run not too long ago. Had some decent players like Kaylor Navas, Brian Ruiz, Jose Campbell. Not so much now though.

They did but I couldn't remember the year. That's why I hedged and said "rarely" does another team do anything outside the region.

Two violations. Spent the night outside the bubble and brought an unauthorized visitor to hotel room. Anyone agree a woman was involved and the little head did his thinking for the big head lol?

A source also confirmed a detail from MLSSoccer.com that following the El Salvador game, McKennie told teammates that there needed to be more accountability within the U.S. team, only to later engage in the aforementioned protocol violations.

I agree with everything you said but they won’t kick him off. That would be a political shitstorm because you know the dude that said the US doesn’t accept him (for being black) would bring out the race card. Zero doubt on that.

They badly need a better presence up front for chances. Wasn’t impressed with Siebatcheu and Sargent has sucked the hind tit lately everywhere IMO.

He's actually really good though. I wouldn't kick him off for that reason alone. Just leave him off for awhile and hope he matures. Juv is probably gonna boot him as well. Maybe that'll be a wake up call for him

I guess you both are right. Next group of 3 games is in October. No Mexico in these 3 but I think Costa Rica. You could sit him for these 3. It seems to be habitual for him though. Violated it twice after the Juve incident.

Sargent is a flat out joke of a striker. Helped relegate Werder last season. Now at Norwich. Has 2 goals from Cup game. You go with Dike and maybe Zardis next games and Hoppe also. What makes Sargent better than Hoppe. I would not even call up Sargent. Can anyone remember when he last scored a goal for the USA? I can't. And who is this Konrad De La Fuente Berhalter is playing at wing? His resume not that impressive. Only 5'9". Hoppe much better resume than him and a bigger presence in the box.
