National Guacamole Thursday

Yeah, I've got one kid who likes to cherry pick. Think he scored both goals on tap-ins in the scrimmage last night.

My daughter is the opposite, wants to play goalie even when we're doing a 4-v-4 "no goalie" game. Couldn't get her to move away from the goal.

We had 7 players at practice, so I was the ringer. Basically switched between the two teams to keep one team from blowing out the other, and I defended minimally. Took the opportunity to try and show the kids what passing looks like.
like Barkley playing BBall with those kids.

Weekly meal schedule: Spam with canned vegetables

EVERY DAY
i've been thinking about what to make for the next few days all morning... i'm still looking.

If you had 5 years worth of food taking up closet space (rotting) in your house, it wouldn't be a question... it'd be a necessity.

I figured out the soccer scam around here pretty quickly. The coaches weren’t teaching these kids anything. No practice shooting, or at goalie. Little passing, mostly dribbling but very little effort. I couldn’t figure out why, then the coaches began recruiting parents to sign up our kids for “Nationals”. 2k minimum. “That’s where the coaching really picks up!” he said. Uh...sure.

The one week the coach missed we won 14-0. Showed the kids where to stay in their spots, how to pass, how to shoot etc..when coach found out he was not happy. Dude was a total tool.

tough defense that way...
Yeah, we're still coaching offense. Defense comes second. They want the kids to be on the ball as much as possible during practice. I limited the scrimmage at the end to 10 minutes to try and keep the bunching to a minimum.

Soccer skills are a secret I can tell you for the low low cost of <whatever you can afford>

Im a big fan of early and often. I tell my kids that losing is part of football and part of life but don’t let anybody ever tell you it’s fun.

The league we're playing in basically styles itself as "intramural". They don't keep standings, and scores are only kept to prevent games from getting out of hand.

Don't know how long we'll stay here, but the games are a lot more laid back, which for a bunch of 6-year-olds, is nice.

Have a viewing to go to for my FIL's SIL. My FIL was adopted and it's his brother's wife from the family that adopted him. I've never met these people. Buck had a flag football game at the farthest location tonight at 7 as well.
That post is causing my head to explode.

Roy

you into feet?

I think Rob is trying to send you a [feetpic]

but there's a soccer ball in the picture, so it's not gay.
