I haven't heard of an "apple cider donut," but this fancy schmancy doughnut place I go sometimes does have an apple pie doughut. Well, they don't have it right now, or didn't the last time I was there a few weeks ago, but they probably will soon. There are a few different kinds they change depending on the season.

Yes, this means it is a doughnut shop that makes "seasonal doughnuts," which would be obnoxious enough just on principle to never buy anything there, but, well, I discovered their phenomenal chocolate-covered old fashions before I knew they offered seasonal doughnuts, and I'm just too weak to miss out on them.

Tell me if you heard someone talking about "seasonal doughnuts," or read "seasonal doughnuts" in an ad somewhere, you wouldn't at least scoff at it.

Think about it ... seasonal doughnuts ... sorry, that's taking the whole artisanal, farm-to-table stuff way, way, way too far.

Not gonna lie, wood scoff

Last weekend we bought some "farm to table" wine. The chardonnay was all right but the cab SUCKED. But they were 2 for 20, so we took a risk.

So i don't mind a shi-shi place if the price is reasonable and I actually like the product...but I avoid lots of places I might actually like if they come across as too fancy

If it's not from an orchard, I ain't interested. There's three good orchards that make great apple cider donuts. The ones in the grocery store suck.
