So should that CR goal been disallowed? I hear some commentators were saying it should have been offsides. And why are we not using VAR since this is the WC Qualifier?

USA has a lot of work to do. Passing was bad. I don't understand why the US player at end didn't shoot on a breakaway? They didn't even get a shot off because the pass was horrible.

No offsides because Dest who let the guy who made the pass get by him was hanging out behind the goal line being lazy. So no offsides.

That whole Costa Rica team is slow. Ruiz is on his last legs and a few others too. There was a 37 and 39 year old at the end. USA pretty much dominated possession but still not a lot of opportunities. I am surprised Burhalter played so many new players. A Hoppe sighting? A Busio sighting? Busio actually looked pretty damn good with his crosses.
 
Good result. Better line up rather than that shitfest last game. Still disappointing to see that it takes getting punched in the mouth for the team to actually play aggressive though. Even when they tied it, they started dialing it back some. Just fucking fire it at the goal when you get in and near the box. They still take way too many touches trying to set things up

Sounds pretty simple. So many things can happen if you attempt shots.

Deflections, own goals, keeper errors, and etc

He was involved in all goals more of less. He really is a very good player. Maybe the best in CONCACAF.

Best thing is he isn't alone on the team. A fellow named Johnathon David is pretty decent as well. Plus a few others.

Some stout defensive play could see them advance a round should they get a break or two.

Tajon Buchanan I like too. I think he is in Europe in January. Yes, Canada is good. Tied Mexico and USA on the road. The one blip was the Honduras tie at home. Their big benefit is they have Mexico and USA at home left. USA / Mexico has Canada on the road and two games with each other still. Those road games in El Salvador, Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica still won't be easy for Canada. Crappy weather and turf and long travel. USA done with those except Costa Rica. Canada is going to the World Cup imo.
