AAC expansion

Six schools accept invitations to join American

"Once all the announced realignment shuffles out, the additions would give the American 14 teams in football and basketball. Aresco conceded that growing to 14 was a way for a conference that has become a feeder league for the Power 5 to be prepared for future poaching."

a feeder league? 3 schools and that makes it a feeder?

i mean i guess Louisville and Rutgers too but they were announced as leaving the Big East. then the Big East breakup came 1 season of AAC and they left

I'm seeing where Southern Miss to the Sunbelt is a done deal but hearing crickets on Marshall. The Sun Belt is going to add at least one more and it seems to be down to Marshall and Old Dominion.

Here is what Conference USA looks like right now:

C-USA future look: Florida International, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, UTEP, Western Kentucky

Sunbelt:

Sun Belt future look: Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Louisiana, Louisiana-Monroe, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Texas State, Troy

If I'm the Sun I add Marshall, Old Dominion, Western Ky, Florida International and Middle Tenn to go to 16. This kills C-USA for good and gives them a ton of content they go to the networks with. I actually like this league better than AAC.

na like i said before some o f those schools like W Kentucky, Middle Tenn and FIU all jumped off Sun Belt before so I dont know if their would be any kind of mutual wanting to rekindle those relationships
