Series Thread World Series: Braves vs. Astros

Will be interesting Game 4/5 how they set up. I'm guessing some combination of Minter/Chavez/Smyly/Wright as openers.

Urquidy on the mound tonight for the astros. Got rocked his last time out. Hopefully something similar this time.

Wright should be stretched out and we can’t go back to back bullpen games. You’ve gotta give him a start and see what he does

He hasn't pitched in a game in nearly 4 weeks (although they've probably had him doing simulated games). So I'm not sure how stretched out he is. I think its one of those things where you pair him up with Minter and hope you get 6 out of the two of them. I have heard pretty good things about his slider, so i would be excited about that. Plus the astros haven't seen him, so that could be an advantage.

If we just sweep, we don’t have to worry about it. Let’s do that.

But, if we can get 4 innings out of Wright, that’s what we’ve got from Ian Anderson. It’s the World Series, so we can ride the pen hard, especially with the off days, but back to back bullpen games plus the pen having to unexpectedly cover 22 outs last night, you’re gonna over expose them to the best lineup in the majors(IMO)

I will be so much more comfortable when the series gets to Atlanta. That Lineup with that Short porch in LF just makes me nervous at all times

Glad the report cards are confirming what we all saw

You shouldn't be. Astros won all their games on the road against the Nats while losing all the home games.

They don't need a short porch to win. You just never know when the bats are going to wake up.

After 5 games of hearing Ron Darling, Joe Buck sounds like a less overrated version of Vin Scully. The best part about being at game six wasn’t the excitement of witnessing history in person or the energy of the crowd, it was being able to enjoy a game without hearing Ron Darling
