THROW STRIKES IAN!!

You can’t walk these guys

Game's over after one batter. Can't throw strikes, bench your God damn self. No use for a pitcher that walks the yard.

It looks like Ian is struggling to grip the ball. He is constantly doing stuff with his hands

"Get to two strikes and then flat out refuse to throw another strike" Brilliant. 2-2 count, two non competitive pitches that bounced and a zero percent chance of a swing.

No damage but Ian has gotta be better

I'd like to get some length out of Ian tonight, but it's the postseason and it's a pipedream. I wish I could be there. Last two playoff games I've been to had a very controversial decision to pinch hit for the pitcher worked out. Duvall with the 2 run homer against the Cards, Adrianza with the double against the Dodgers that lead to Rosario's 3 run homer.

So the media has gone full on attack on the Braves and "The Chop" I will be tuning into tonights game for the sole purpose of hoping to see Braves fans do The Chop for 9 consecutive innings just to piss off the blue checks.
I don't give a shit about the chop and neither does Jeff Passan or anyone else in the sports media.

Also, Jeff Passan's had a twitter thread dedicated on the reasoning behind his "Stop the chop" article. His argument made it seem that he is a proponent of not only eliminating the chop, but also changing the name.

I'm nearly convinced that a lot of the vitriol directed at the Braves right now, while the Chiefs and the Warriors get off relatively free, is due to the demographics that make up baseball viewership.

also, if you want to stop the chop, then you're asking for the Braves to start kicking people out for doing it. The Braves already agreed to get rid of the War chant song after a Cardinals pitcher complained about the chop in 2019.

Holy shit. That’s not a swing

I suspect they'll get around to those teams too. chopchop-chop-braves-atlanta-trollface-trollface.gif

Home plate umps should not be allowed to make that call
