Guess the CFP Top 25

OU at #8. And here I've been predicting for a couple of weeks that Oklahoma will end up either #2 or #12. Gotta be a lot of upset people on the team right now. Good.

I had them at 7 in my post above before the standings came out:

1. UGA
2. Michigan St
3. Alabama
4. Oregon
5. Ohio St
6. Cincinnati
7. Oklahoma
8. Michigan
9. Oklahoma St
10. Wake Forest

Look, they have a good team and can play themselves in, but you can't play like that against Kansas and all the other crappy teams and not expect to get pinged.

they don’t have a single top 25 team on their schedule at the moment and the other PAC division is a mess. Beating a 3+ loss Utah or Zona State team there isn’t going to earn them any brownie points

I think they would give you a better game on a neutral field than you think they would. That said, I would pick Bama.

The committee had to put them there so that they could watch what happens above them before they move them in. They will not get in of there are a lot of undefeated and one-loss P5 teams. If the B1G teams beat each other up, and Ore slips, etc., they could work their way to 4th. But a lot of bad shit has to happen for that to happen.

I love the argument that Miss State is anything but average-mediocre.

The have legit defense. Bama is always a mismatch for that team.
Close LSU lose, not a bad loss.
They played bad vs Memphis at the beg of year and two blown calls screwed them, NCAA even came out and said it. That was a win.
They beat A&M who beat Bama and they beat UK, who at this point has been pretty damn good other than the blowout loss to #1. I dont have a problem with them being around 20 or so. #17 maybe a little high but not crazy

Agreed ... the weakness of the PAC will weigh them down. They can't lose another. You guys winning out actually helps them.

Another loss will eliminate Oregon. However, if they finish 12-1, they won’t fall out of the top 4

Iowa St has a better resume than pretty much 75% of the teams from 13 down

How does head to head matter in so many instances but 5-3 Wisconsin is 21 while 5-3 Penn St is unranked?

Having SDSU ranked but not Houston??

Minnesota ahead of Iowa?? With a loss to BGSU and no wins better than Iowas 2 best wins?

I love how people like to bitch about 15-25 in the rankings like they matter at all. Those teams are eliminated, and if you say it's to boost Bama, Bama ain't getting in unless they win out, and they would absolutely deserve to be in if they do.

Not with who Okie has coming up. I suspect he was doing a lil bit of therapy.

(With that said I'd love for a G5 school to get in and support expanding the playoff to help with that.)

ISU likely enters if they beat Texas this week. But they still have an awful loss to a bad WVU team and only 1 good win. They really don’t deserve to be in the top 25, yet.

Ahhh it’s how teams build resumes to get into the top 4. Saying rankings 15-25 doesn’t matter is idiotic.

Wisconsin beat you guys handily while you beat ISU handily.

I do agree somewhat with you on Miss St but they do have 3 top 20 wins. That can’t be ignored.
