It matters in reference to NY6 bowls but more imoirtantly it matters to perceived SoS for the top teams.I love how people like to bitch about 15-25 in the rankings like they matter at all. Those teams are eliminated, and if you say it's to boost Bama, Bama ain't getting in unless they win out, and they would absolutely deserve to be in if they do.
Oklahoma got screwed. They’ve had bad games but so have the Ducks. They’re unbeaten with a few bad games, Oregon has one loss with a big road win. And they’re separated by 4 spots.Man, I really can’t believe they put the Sooners that far down. Also, if Mississippi State is used to boost Bama, look at the boosts Oklahoma is gonna be getting... even though some play each other and it will work itself out.
Oklahoma needs help to get in, they do not control their own destiny to the playoffsI had them at 7 in my post above before the standings came out:
1. UGA
2. Michigan St
3. Alabama
4. Oregon
5. Ohio St
6. Cincinnati
7. Oklahoma
8. Michigan
9. Oklahoma St
10. Wake Forest
Look, they have a good team and can play themselves in, but you can't play like that against Kansas and all the other crappy teams and not expect to get pinged.
Ou has 2 top 13 teams on the schedule ahead of them. I don’t think Oregon is a lock. I am not sure why people would think thatNo, Oklahoma can’t. Oregon, MSU/OSU win out and a Bama win in the CCG and OU is out. OU needs help
They do.Oklahoma needs help to get in, they do not control their own destiny to the playoffs
Ya it’s not why teams are left out regularly like tcu in 15…I love how people like to bitch about 15-25 in the rankings like they matter at all. Those teams are eliminated, and if you say it's to boost Bama, Bama ain't getting in unless they win out, and they would absolutely deserve to be in if they do.

Oklahoma has beaten:
(1-7) Tulane
(3-6) Nebraska
(4-4) WVU
(4-4) Texas
(1-7) Kansas
By a TOTAL of 40 points.
No. 1 UGA's average margin of victory is 32 points per game.
Oklahoma needs help to get in, they do not control their own destiny to the playoffs
Sure but you need to look at everything too. Iowa States win is far better than any other 3 loss team who is ranked currently has. And Penn St not beinh ranked when Wisky is 21 is even weirder considering how much weight they gave to H2H on other instancesWisconsin beat you guys handily while you beat ISU handily.
I do agree somewhat with you on Miss St but they do have 3 top 20 wins. That can’t be ignored.
No, Oklahoma can’t. Oregon, MSU/OSU win out and a Bama win in the CCG and OU is out. OU needs help
Yeah but Oklahoma doesn’t have any impressive wins and they struggle against bad teams. Their placement is simply, “show us what you can do”. They control their own destiny. If they win out, they are in the top 4Oklahoma got screwed. They’ve had bad games but so have the Ducks. They’re unbeaten with a few bad games, Oregon has one loss with a big road win. And they’re separated by 4 spots.
I think that is highly possible. Undefeated Ou will get in over a 1 loss Oregon or undefeated CincyI'll go ahead and predict now, that if Oklahoma goes undefeated through the CCG, we'll see the Invitational.
I'm probably crazy
They are still 5-3 with a loss to a (now) .500 team. They haven’t looked impressive at all this season outside of maybe one week. I think it’s perfectly reasonable to not have them ranked given how things have played out at this moment. Again, they beat Texas Saturday night and they’ll be back in.Sure but you need to look at everything too. Iowa States win is far better than any other 3 loss team who is ranked currently has. And Penn St not beinh ranked when Wisky is 21 is even weirder considering how much weight they gave to H2H on other instances
OU's remaining schedule < Cincy's remaining scheduleYeah but Oklahoma doesn’t have any impressive wins and they struggle against bad teams. Their placement is simply, “show us what you can do”. They control their own destiny. If they win out, they are in the top 4
