Is he a HOFer?
Always a Giant. Love how he’s going out without a farewell tour or any of that bullshit. Not a HOF guy, but a personal favorite.
lack of longevity is going to be a problem for himDamn...great player.
Is he a HOFer? 3 WS rings and a Leader on the last 2. Always seem to come through in the Postseason.....but he being brittle boned is the reason we no longer have collisions at home
Sal Pérez has caught just 61 less games. And set the record for homer runs in season for the position this year. Also a much better catcher.Only hall of fame catcher I can think of the last 10 years.
The game has changed. Catchers aren’t going to have as long of careers playing solely catcher. And they won’t play as many games a season.Sal Pérez has caught just 61 less games. And set the record for homer runs in season for the position this year. Also a much better catcher.
The only HOF catchers with less games at the position are the guy that invented shin guards and the batting helmet and Joe Torre.
I don’t believe that is true. Great catchers will catch as much as possible, like always. The game has changed. Catchers aren’t going to have as long of careers playing solely catcher. And they won’t play as many games a season.
Just like we won’t have 300 game winning pitchers. Or as high of career batting averages. Hall of fame stats will have to change.
Until the official announcement, yes.hi @moxie
is he still a giant?
Buster Posey is not a Hall of Fame catcher, no matter how loud Giants fans are about it.Only hall of fame catcher I can think of the last 10 years.
