Marshall MG10, I don't like it. The tone is good, but too bright, I feel like I am trying to play jangle rock. It is better than nothing but I wish I had a do-over and could spend a little more and get something with actual treble, mid, bass control. The way it stands, I only play it if I am in that room with my axe.

I’ve always wanted one and somehow never had one. I love the sound too, solo at least. Still trying to figure out how to get it to sit in with a group.
Awesome, this is more what I have in mind for my next purchase. I'm gonna sell my Marshall mini and put it towards something like this up to $200.

I think this model (or one similar to it) goes for about $175 bucks these days. I've abused this amp and it sounds just as good as day one. It has that real Marshall overdrive tone, even though it isn't a tube amp. I recommend.
I was thinking about upgrading to the 12" 50 watt version, but I don't have the $400 of extra scratch right now.
Yeah, a really good amp gets expensive fast. I learned my lesson fast with that tiny Marshall. I wanted Marshall sound and just can't find it playable due to no deep tones.
There is good bang for the buck, but from now on I play before I buy.
I used to own a Marshall Park series amp. Even though it was 15 watts (not sure what the SPL rating was) it was loud enough to play a small venue. It actually had a decent clean tone which was primarily how I had it set up.
Those small Marshalls are very deceptive!
Les Paul is still at the top of my “to own” list. Very nice.

I love Ibanez guitars. It's their neck shape more than anything. Fits my hand just right. That guitar is pretty similar to the one I posted. Is that a slim body?

No, it was about the same. I've been an ESP fan since I started playing guitar. They look similar, but play a lot differently.
It’s not a thin body. I liked the way the felt to hold, but felt this one just sounded better.
This isn’t slim body....but it’s not hulking either. Plus I loved the neck. It’s a little smaller and more narrow and fits my hand better. Gotta love Ibanez for that.
