A lot of comments are based on stereotypes. I saw it at Nissan (good news is I was interning there after the official move). Everyone was worried about redneck Nashville and Tennessee but when the ones that didn't buy into stereotypes and came over realized that in many ways, it was even nicer than Southern California. You still had the urban life and strong entertainment downtown but you could also get big houses at low costs and had the wilderness 30 minutes outside of the city.

They act like there is no bars or entertainment in other cities. Then they cite to Hollywood like anyone can just go there and enjoy it at any time.

sure if you head to the same spots as everyone else.. but the coast is long and there are multiple spots where there isn't many people at all.. I go to the dike fishing here.. it's pretty stretched out

That's a good question and it will be interesting to see. He's young, so I doubt it intimidates him.

The thing with it is, if you're winning to standard...it can be awesome. But if you're not...it can turn on you and be tough to deal with.

If nothing else, it's a great hire because it's creating a lot of excitement around USC which will, at least initially, be a boost for recruiting and get folks showing up to games again. The question will be whether or not he can sustain it by the team performing on the field.

lol no.. like a road.. i park on the side and set up a chair and see what i can reel in.. There's other spots I take the family too where there aren't many others on the island to swim. Next year we'll start going deep sea fishing

I agree with everything except the bold. The USC fanbase is rabid which is why we've cycled through so many coaches since Carrol. If not for Covid...Helton would already have been gone.

Not showing up to games is part of how fans in California express their displeasure with teams. The only team that seems to be immune is the Dodgers who seem to be able to draw 3 million fans every year no matter what.

Again you are living in a 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s format.

Look at Tuscaloosa. It is literally in the middle of no where yet players are getting great NIL deals. Companies will go were the wins and big games are at no matter what part of the country they are in.

You act like the world isn't remote and that companies are tied down to physical locations.
