I see I have traveled more of Minnesota than you have. Get 40 miles outside the Cities and Minny empties out.
oh no doubt, I've been all over MN....southern MN (west and east corners) I've been to the least, but it's not like I stay in the 494/694 all the time.

But that's the thing, Wisconsin doesn't have a comparable metro area to the twin cities with concentration of Fortune 500 companies, and that is where the Wi transplants are moving too. They're not moving to Albert Lea

Rural mn and rural wi are pretty similar overall. We have less paper mills and cheese factories, but otherwise same concept.

The only other place in MN I'd consider living is Duluth, MN

I like the river towns, Red Wing, Winona, Lake City...

I luke MN because i finished my degree there

I like Wisconson because Madison is awesome and Wisconsin is really just Iowa wearing different uniforms

Most of my B10 hate is reserved for bball ( Indiana, Illinois, OSU )

I dont like Michigan football much but most of that isnt team based as much as it is fan based

Something rubs me wrong about a fan base acting like blue bloods when theyve half of one natty since the Korean War ( a dubious half ) and wgen theyve got less top 10 finishes this century than like half the league they play in

Where is your proof or are you just blowing hot air as usual?
There is plenty of data on migration between states, and yes, more people move to mn from wi than vice versa.

I'm speculating on the reason, but it's a big one

MN has 18 fortune 500 companies, more than double that of Wisconsin that has 8

Winona is a great place, if I didn't go to school at UMD, Winona would've been great choice

My dad lived there during the Depression until late 1940s or so. Always felt a bit like home. And I feel a tug for the entire Lake Pepin area.

My buddy lives in Albert Lea and ive got friends from Rose Creek. I actually like that area.

I lived in Mankato, Roseville and St Paul. All have plusses and minuses

Having 10 more fortune 500 companies doesn't mean squat.
it means higher per capita income and good reason why so many move here, again, the stats are out there

I'm sorry a dipshit like you can't see that

sorry truth hurts

Not everyone works for a fortune 500 company you dumb-ass.

Wisconsin has a serious corporate tax issue that needs fixing. And Milwaukee is just a north suburb of Chicago.

no doubt, different strokes for different folks

I don't have anything against rural or urban areas, both have their charms. I prefer to be in the twin cities, however.

I've largely lived in various parts of Metro and 5 years in Duluth. If I were retired, I wouldn't mind sleepy lake town in MN or Wi

but chances are I'll leave winter behind when I retire

I'm aware, dumb ass

But they're large employers of college educated people and lead to other jobs in support of said companies.

My cousin works for an independent shop, his largest customer, 3M

You just assume that everyone wants to work at a fortune 500 company.

MN isn't great taxes either, i think overall we're taxed higher than Wi.

We lose few businesses for tax purposes and there is a certain political ilk that think all of our companies are going to leave, but they don't and we constantly have new ones.

MN also has a highly educated workforce in part due to great school systems paid for by our taxes that start and innovate business as well
