GAME The Game. #2 Ohio State Buckeyes vs #5 TTUN Fox Noon EST

So in this thread we've learned that UoM's win streak vs tOSU currently stands at two.

As if Saturday's loss wasn't hard enough to stomach, to now learn that the 7-1, #2 ranked 2020 Buckeyes also got boat raced last November by a 2-4, unranked UoM team is just too much for me to bear.

This Scenario Village fucking sucks.
Two wins in a row? When you don’t show up for a fight … you lose. For a Michigan fan to say that is an embarrassment. If I was the coach last year, I would have showed up with the Chess Team if my football team was COVID-19 out. Fuck this forfeit shit.

I'll take this as a 2003 type situation until Michigan proves they can do it again next year. For what its worth.

What rules? ohio state was ready.
Every team missed multiple games in the B1G essentially last year. Ohio state had to cancel against Illinois, I believe. So does that mean Illinois is the winner?

in no way do I think UM beats OSU last year, but the cancellation at the end of the year just happened to be when UM finally went past the threshold of positive cases set by the B1G.

The big ten. The ones every school signed up for. Positive rate above X meant you can’t play.
Then Michigan had a duty to keep their players negative. What was the threshold anyway? I am Michigan through and through, but there has not been a Michigan/ohio state Game that angered me more. Never Surrender.

They didn't have the option. Once you went past the agreed upon positive cases -- it was automatically cancelled. It is why so many teams in the B1G had to cancel games, including Ohio State. Michigan's just so happened to be at the end of the year.

The Big Ten Conference will use data provided by each Chief Infection Officer (CInO) to make decisions about the continuation of practice and competition, as determined by Test Positivity Rate and Population Positivity Rate, based on a seven-day rolling average:
  • Test positivity rate (number of positive tests divided by total number of tests administered):
    • Green 0-2%
    • Orange 2-5%
    • Red >5%
  • Population positivity rate (number of positive individuals divided by total population at risk):
    • Green 0-3.5%
    • Orange 3.5-7.5%
    • Red >7.5%
Decisions to alter or halt practice and competition will be based on the following scenarios:
  • Green/Green and Green/Orange: Team continues with normal practice and competition.
  • Orange/Orange and Orange/Red: Team must proceed with caution and enhance COVID-19 prevention (alter practice and meeting schedule, consider viability of continuing with scheduled competition).
  • Red/Red: Team must stop regular practice and competition for a minimum of seven days and reassess metrics until improved.
The daily testing will begin by September 30, 2020.

2003 was my first Michigan Ohio state game. I thought “that was easy”

There was a point where we had cut it to 28-21, Michigan threw a INT, looked like we had the momentum turning and then we promptly went 3 and out. Next drive Michigan waltzed like 85 yards without much resistance to put the game away. That pretty much was the feeling of the whole damn 2nd half of this years game.

but the cancellation at the end of the year just happened to be when UM finally went past the threshold of positive cases set by the B1G.
Unless they just said they went past the threshold of positive cases set by the B1G.

Harbaughs like. Nah, beating OSU was enough of a reward.

Haskins was our RB last year. Haskins just ran for 5 TD's. So yes. You're a crazy homer.

Don't try to change the subject. You said because of what happened this year UofM would have beaten Ohio State last year. What was your teams record last season, something like 2-5?

That's the single most absurd and overly homeristic thing I've seen you say. Your homerism is unmatched. And that's not a good thing. But I expect nothing less from you. You spew bullshit all the time. Then try to talk your way outta the nonsense you say.

Your coach can barely field a team against us. Nothing humoristic about it. I think Day is still confused about what happened.

Hey, remember when Day stole all of our defensive staff that kept getting blown out by Ohio State and Urban, only to get blown out by Michigan? That's fun.
