I am going to disagree with you there. Our range before the season was 4-8 wins and we got six and finished the season playing solid ball in our losses, given the injuries and talent on hand. Keep in mind that we lost a lot of players to graduation and others to the portal when Gus was fired and Harsin had zero time to put together a good recruiting class. It could have been a little better but it could have been much worse.
 
I hope Venerables is more Kirby than Mushchamp for OU.

Here is the thing, I don't think that coaches hold grudges against schools/fans. They probably hold grudges against the Administration that treated them bad. So if it is the same AD, your point is valid. If it is a different AD and administration, I think it could be a different story.

I will say this, I think Huepel is enjoying Tennessee and I think it is unlikely he leaves this season. I think he could be a potential future candidate at OU if the new coach doesn't work out and he continues to have success.

Every former player or staff at every other place Bob has worked that has the capacity to be a coach in some degree will be lighting up Bob's phone. Especially any former *Sooners who don't hate the place (*Heupel). There has been a groundswell of former players on social media willing to do what they can to help the program.

OU better hit a homerun on their next coaching hire and do it quickly -- they are hemmoraging recruits right now. Seems like every other alert I get on my phone is another big time recruit de-committing from OU.
