The first thing is Auburn has a Kicker commit that is the #1 kicker in the country but he is only listed as a 3 star. Don't really care about the star rating as he is supposed to be a great one but if you are the best in the country at your position shouldn't that be a 5 star?
I've noticed this with offensive linemen quite a bit also in that they tend to get fewer stars than more splashy positions like QB, RB, DT, CB etc. There are some 5 stars out there but very few and I'd say the majority are 3 stars.
So what criteria has to be met to get the 5th star? I mean it goes without saying you are can't miss prospect but if you are the number 1 FG kicker in the country and hit a 61 yarder during a game this year shouldn't you at least be 4 stars?
Just curious.
