ACC Basketball

i haven't followed NET closely since the NCAA dumped the RPI in favor of it, but i'm guessing margin of victory plays a part in it

Wake dropped two spots in NET after beating VMI by 7. The teams that jumped them have fewer Quad 1 and Quad 2 combined wins than the Deacs. Hopefully that works out in Wake's favor if they do well in ACC play this year.

i have to take a real estate final in 20 minutes, so naturally i'm searching "Kevin Keatts" on twitter and I came across this gem:

lol, an OGBoards poster just got put in a body bag:

fwiw, this is Williams' current stat line

19.8 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 4.7 APG, 1.5 SPG, 57% FG, 34% 3 pt

lol, it just keeps getting worse and worse for Pilch

Williams against UNCC:

34 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists on 65% shooting

UNC getting whooped by another solid team

Give Brownell an extension!!

Can't get a feel for them tbh. It's not like UK was lighting the world on fire. Deacs might be the 2nd best ACC team when all said and done.

maybe, but the lack of depth on this Wake team worries me

they have not looked good without Laravia and interesting enough, it seems that the biggest difference is on the defensive side of the ball.

but do i have GOOD news:

As many upsets as there has been, simply winning a couple games without your 2nd best player(at least IMO), is a really good accomplishment. They've already beaten what's probably the 3rd/4th best team on the road by 20. At Louisville and at Miami will be an important two game stretch. They win both, they'll make me even that much more of a believer.

warrennolan.com does a predictive results section, and it has Wake going 28-3. This is based off of computer formulas so it makes sense given who's on the schedule, but I'd be pretty shocked if Wake got to that.

i'd probably eat Steve Forbes' unwiped ass if the Deacs went 28-3

sounds like there's a possibility that Damari Monsanto might be cleared to play sometime this year

He was the SoCon Freshman of the year last year. Would be a big addition to the Deacs

NC State gets blown out by Wright State? Lmao. Keatts should be canned yesterday.

yeah, i have been saying that for about a year now. Keatts isn't good and has been less productive than Gottfried was at this point in his NCSU tenure.
