Much appreciated...but might as well just order from MaytagEh, most likely. I'm allowed a pnk or two on URLs.

My experience with parts on Amazon, especially with older machines, is that they'll tell you it fits, and then you get to figure out on your own whether or not it actually does fit.Still $30 from there...
Getting parts advice on this site is like getting medical information from your garbage collector.Much appreciated...but might as well just order from Maytag

No cost to return it, so you're only out the time it took you to disassemble it if you're going to order it from another site. But I tried three different gaskets from Amazon that were supposed to fit my washing machine, and then just said fuck it and paid the extra money to get the right one from that site.
I live to serve.Thank you for the sage advice.
I have not had that experience here. I have been posting with most the folks in the morning threads for years, I trust them.Getting advice on this site is like getting medical information from your garbage collector.

But it's not the ONLY way to goBuying OEM is the only way to go if available.
Then, you ain't going, correct? But it's not the ONLY way to go
I could choose to be a cheap motherfucker and regret it when it doesn't fit.
If the part is either fairly universal (like filters or lightbulbs for cars that have certain spec codes), I have had no problems with the stuff I have bought on Amazon. But it's not the ONLY way to go

I mean, how much varience do you think there is for a idler pulley? Should be pretty universal, imo. It's a pulley with a bearingIf the part is either fairly universal (like filters or lightbulbs for cars that have certain spec codes), I have had no problems with the stuff I have bought on Amazon.
I get into gripes with them when you're trying to find something specific. Amazon seems to just say that the part will work, even though it won't.
So, I guess the question is, is it worth $20 to possibly not get the right part?
I don't know, how many iterations of that dryer have been made? If the spec's wrong, and you break your dryer, you might have wrecked your lube budget for months because you have to buy a new dryer.I mean, how much varience do you think there is for a idler pulley? If I strike gold and it fits then I can spend the $20 on lube.
what's wrong with that?

He must have missed the photos of the trailer filled with water and blankets.
