Terrible Tuesday Temper Tantrum Thread

Eh, most likely. I'm allowed a pnk or two on URLs.

I did go and get him the link.
Much appreciated...but might as well just order from Maytag

Still $30 from there...
My experience with parts on Amazon, especially with older machines, is that they'll tell you it fits, and then you get to figure out on your own whether or not it actually does fit.

No cost to return it, so you're only out the time it took you to disassemble it if you're going to order it from another site. But I tried three different gaskets from Amazon that were supposed to fit my washing machine, and then just said fuck it and paid the extra money to get the right one from that site.

Getting parts advice on this site is like getting medical information from your garbage collector.

Thank you for the sage advice.

I have not had that experience here. I have been posting with most the folks in the morning threads for years, I trust them.

Minus Douche. He's clueless

Buying OEM is the only way to go if available.
But it's not the ONLY way to go

I could choose to be a cheap motherfucker and regret it when it doesn't fit.

Then, you ain't going, correct?

I keep my lawnmowers well maintenance and do deep repairs on them. Finding parts gets to be a challenge when they get old. Sometimes you have to find fab shoes that bought the specs from the original company. It is worth it, IMO

If the part is either fairly universal (like filters or lightbulbs for cars that have certain spec codes), I have had no problems with the stuff I have bought on Amazon.

I get into gripes with them when you're trying to find something specific. Amazon seems to just say that the part will work, even though it won't.

So, I guess the question is, is it worth $20 to possibly not get the right part?

I mean, how much varience do you think there is for a idler pulley? Should be pretty universal, imo. It's a pulley with a bearing

If I strike gold and it fits then I can spend the $20 on lube.

I don't know, how many iterations of that dryer have been made? If the spec's wrong, and you break your dryer, you might have wrecked your lube budget for months because you have to buy a new dryer.

Love these continued educational courses. need 20 hours before then end of the month, and am just going to bang them out over the next 2 days. Most boring regurgitated shit on earth. going into my 16th year of doing inspections, and these courses have not changed.

Insomnia attack. 3 hours sleep and wide awake. Probably nap 1/2 the day.
Get outside and do some farm work you puss. Get some fresh air

He must have missed the photos of the trailer filled with water and blankets.

Anyways, it was nice of you to race up there to put those fires out with bottled water.

You mean like the photos from my fishing trip that weren't enough for you?

You didn't take the bet and got your vulva kicked up into your throat, pussy bitch.

BWWAHAHAHAHA BooM

Christmas decorations are getting put away tonight...trying to motivate myself for a talkie bike ride before I make dinner and veg for the night.
