In McCarthy's defense, the had a 6 game improvement in their record. The players aren't ready to win playoff football.

And I don't think our coaching staff were ready to prepare for playoff football. Too busy polishing their resume because, hey...who is going to tell them no?

Definitely not. I think Harbaugh could do well in Dallas in the short term, but it's looking like Harbaugh will be going to Vegas, where he'll have a lot more in the cupboard than he did when he arrived in SF.

I feel some for Dak and McCarthy, b/c the playcall itself wasn't crazy reckless--it was just executed poorly. If you're gonna practice a play like that--as they said they did--your practice has to include handing the ball to the ref instead of your center.

The result of the play would have been one shot into the end zone from the 24 instead of two shots from the 40… added to that the risk of clocking out and ending the game.

There are many more 24 yard plays than there are 40 yard plays. Plus getting WR's down 40 yards and then back is a recipe for disaster, gonna be gassed after the first play.
