Let's take a moment to laugh at Mike McCarthy

The game is over but the last minute controversy continues. It is time to move on instead of rehashing the game. I'm more interested in what Jerry Jones will be doing in the coming months to address this disaster of a finish to a fine season.

Was it a fine season though?

They won the worst division. There isn’t a team they beat who is still alive in the playoffs.

Maybe Kellen is hired away and Dallas can hire Coach Bro as our OC. He is another one who is a great OC but sucks as HC.

I don't disagree. Only thing I'm saying is there was some thought behind it and it wasn't a play completely out of the blue...apparently part of the playbook and something Dallas intended to do. I think that makes the complete execution failure all the more damning.

McCarthy has a history of these type of blunders which is why the Packers went to only one Super Bowl with him as head coach.
 
I just wish they'd stop drafting PSU LBs.

Mike McCarthy is nothing more than a figure head. His job is to hold the red flag and decide when or if they go for it on 4th down. From what i can tell someone whispers in his ear when that happens too. He does not choose his coaching staff. He does not choose his players. He does not call the plays. He just stands there trying to looking important.

The problem since 1996 is and will continue going forward on being Jerry Jones. I wish no ill will on him but I don't think the Cowboys will win another SB until he dies. Only then will he give up control.

Jerry is good at public relations and making money but a disaster as GM. How many bad coaching hires has he had since buying the team? Having good talent won't get you to the Super Bowl when having folks like McCarthy coaching the team.
