Haven't yet, will probably look into it. Haven't had VZ for internet since they shut off my employee pricing and demanded that I go to the most expensive pricing they had. Have been with Xfinity since.
 
Got a text from a guy that just left our company who is starting up his his own engineering dept at another company. Asking if I'm interested in discussing. Feel like I should say yes, because what's the harm in talking. But also feel kinda dirty doing it.

Just feels weird talking to a guy trying to poach from a company he left only 2 weeks ago. Plus, I'm sure its for the same exact job, and the pay probably wouldn't be much different. It would have to be a decent raise to get me to leave. Or a relocation to their office in the upstate (which it isn't). But again, one of those things where it can't hurt to talk I guess. .

Never hurts to hear what someone else has to say, especially if you don't have a non-compete.

Unless there is a no complete clause then I see no harm in talking with the guy, see what he has to offer. Always be on the look out for something better

I honestly can't remember if I signed one here or not. But in this business, most are just with regards to stealing clients when you move on to another company. Which isn't a concern for someone like me. But i don' think i ever signed one for here.

Plus the guy asking, he was one of the ones that was part of my hiring process here. He knows all the ins and outs of contracts and sech, and he's still on good terms with the people here. So he wouldn't go and do something like that. I was surprised he reached out at all, but hes gotta business to grow himself.

Just had my 3rd beer after McDonald's line was wrapped around the building twice and ordered takeout from the bar instead. Gotta learn to be efficient. Do better tomorrow morning.
