B1G and SEC should get similar money when future contracts kick in. Problem is no other conference is going to come close so the divide is going to grow.

I do think ND will be close on an individual school basis when their contract is up if ratings stay up. NBC won‘t want to lose them.

NBC hopes to add coverage of Big Ten athletics to its college coverage that already includes Notre Dame football.

NBC COULD be working with ND to have them join the BIG in 2030 or so when their obligation to the ACC if they join a conference as a full member is up IIRC.

Billion dollar contract with the agreement that ND joins when it can?
Maybe, it would make sense for both parties when trying to keep pace with the SEC after OU and Texas join and that deal goes skyward.

ND is locked in with the ACC until 2036.

If they joined a conference it would be the ACC and yes that would be a massive get and move the needle but the only way it happens is if the playoff makes a rule an independent can't be in it (which won't happen but probably should).
