I’ve rewatched the incident a few times and haven’t seen anything from Bucky Badger that was asking to get swung on.

Im not burning my Washington Bullets #5 jersey, but Juwan should be done.

I agree ... I saw nothing that Wisconsin did that would call for this kind of action. Maybe he called Howard a name (sticks and stones), but Howard has to serve as a role model and coach for these young men. Immediate Suspension and Investigation. It sure does look like a future firing and I liked him as a coach.

Don't apologize, we already know he's an idiot. I think he was using the TO as an excuse for his actions. He was frustrated they were blown yet again and decided to act like a 5 year old. I don't see anything Greg Gard did wrong, he grabbed his arm, big flipping deal. The way Howard acted in his presser just shows he's completely in over his head.

I get it if this was a player but were talking about head coach. There should be no question about his removal. I don't care if so and so grabbed him. I don't care if someone touched him. Nobody threw hands at him. There was no excuse for what he did.

I'll bet you he will claim a racial slur was hurled at him by the coach, I doubt it but even so, you're the HC at Michigan, you don't swing on anyone.

He should be terminated immediately. If he was white, he'd already have been.

That's the biggest bullshit part. It's like a football coach getting pissed off when the other team goes deep on them while being up 21 in the fourth quarter, even though they just called a timeout to try to get the ball back

Every lie he has come up with has been shown to be false, so I agree with Mark and others that he will claim he heard a racist comment now. No one else will have heard it, unless its one of his players supporting him. No camera will have caught it, and no one will ask why it took 2 days for him to claim that.

He's proven before that he is a hot headed prick, not cut out to be a HC of a major university. Bobby knight throwing a chair on a court is one thing, but hitting an opposing coach for calling a TO when you have trapped his kids? What a tool.

It looks like Howard wants no part of Gard, but Gard grabs him and stops him. That's what sets Howard off, looks like he is saying "don't fucking touch me, get your hands off me" and Gard is trying to say something to him. Likely trying to either talk shit about the press or explain the TO. Either way, I think Gard takes some of the blame for making this even an issue.

However, throwing a punch (or bitch slap) is uncalled for no matter what happened. Howard I bet stays employed but will be forced to publicly apologize and be suspended for remaining regular season. Gard probably gets a few games for his role.

i don't really interpret it that way. I think Gard was trying to clear the air, but Howard wouldn't look in his direction. Gard grabbed his arm to get his attention, so they could talk. Howard, being the man child that he is, used that as a reason to get in Gard's face in a confrontational way.

It will be a joke if Gard gets suspended.
 
Anything more than a reprimand for Gard will be silly.
