Big East Basketball

Per usual good fight to make a game of it. But just a bad loss. Cant start that poorly.

Really fucking annoying how good Butler randomly shoots. Their guys have awful looking shots(which explains their horrid offense all year) but today every big shot falls.

That's always Butler at home.

They can always clip you if you have an off night.

Georgetown is so bad. My god

Shaka, do not ever call off the dogs with 12 minutes left again. Let a blowout look respectable.

Man Hockey,

That was an abysmal ending to the Creighton game. Didn't even get a shot off in two possessions.

I did expect them to lose that game so ... no harm overall.

This puts Creighton in a really good spot to make the tournament now. Tough schedule left, but 2-2 would probably lock it up.

Brutal. Weve gagged two games away against Creighton. We are so much better than that team and not showing it.

Lewis and Morsells inability to dribble is getting annoying. And the missed lay ups.

2-2 will be tough. They're pesty though.

They really lucked out with the transfer thing. Ryan Hawkins is a phenomenal player. Could be in the rotation for any team in the country. No clue how that guy was D2 for 4 years.

Yeah 2-2 won't be easy, I just think that makes them pretty safe, regardless of what happens in the BE tournament.

Damn, UConn wants this game. Talkin mad trash...

LOL being able to grab around a guys head and threw his arm is not a fucking tie up.

Not sure Uconn ever actually touched the ball there.

Nova got fucked royally there. Quite a fucking joke

Jesus chirst now they storm the court in a game they were favored??

Uconn joining SHU for the most punchable team in the league with all their bitching and Hurley being king bitch.

Providence is 22-3, but only #46 on kenpom

lmao, their luck is going to end eventually

and it starts tonight vs Xavier

Xavier 83
Providence 56

FINAL SCORE

As trash as that Nova ending was last night. It actually was a good thing Nova lost.

If the BE standings play out as expected. I wanna be on the same side of the bracket as Prov compared to Nova and Uconn. These dudes are bound to start losing games that go down to the wire, its simply law of averages.

Why would you want that? Marquette swept Villanova. Plus Cooley is a good tournament coach.

I think it's gonna be about matchups.

The irony is that we've lost every close game this year, but beat Providence down the wire.

Just because you win a couple games against a team doesnt mean much. Honestly, from a match up stand point Marquette does match up with Nova really well. But Nova is also really talented. We do not match up with Uconn.......at all. Nightmare match up. So avoid them.

Cooley is a great guy and ambassador for the league. But the hype surrounding that guy year to year is a thing of legend. He does not notoriously close well. Providence doesnt have the Wojo slide, but they usually crash late in the year and are 1-5 in the NCAA. Average in the BET.

I could eat my words. But simply put Creighton and Providence are less talented basketball teams than Nova and Uconn(really X too but they are just terribly coached).

At the end of the day, sometimes you catch teams on good days and bad days. I'd rather bank on goddamn Nembhard, Oconnell, Bynum and Reeves missing shots over Moore and Gillepsie.

Not any more. Just got injured. Wrist, it looked like. He also appeared to mouth “It’s broken.”

Uconn is a good team, I just don't know about their ability to score, and I think RJ Cole isn't good enough as a go to guy.

And as I was thinking that last night, he made the game winning shot. Still I stick with that.

Cooley hasn't really had a good team. I mean he's had good players.

I think Marquette, UConn, and Villanova and Providence can be 2nd weekend teams based on draw. The others, not so much.

Creighton like I said upthread is the overacheiving team in the league. Hawkins is a great player. They are one and done, I was rooting for them to lay down, but they keep winning.

You're right about Uconn. Their length at all positions and Sanogo is what makes them a bad match up for MU but most teams will have stronger center men that can really use that against them. They have some shooters, but little scorers. Even Sanogo as good as he is misses a lot of bunnies.

Shit, they shot all world first half against at home two weeks ago and had twice as maning rebounds. We still cut a 14 pt lead to 1, because I think Uconn scored 7 pts in 10 minutes at one point. Getting 3 rebounds per possession only matters if you get that 3rd shot to go down.

Like I said I just dont know about Providence.

Nova and Marquette will be heavy match up dependent(Nova with a way better seed to offset that). If MU can get to game two and draw a 2/3 seed that doesnt have a dominate big we will be a nightmare team to prep for on two days.
